Mbira folk fusion [1964 - 2011] View Artists on Map

Sadly Adam passed away on July 13th 2011. We are raising money from his music for his family. Please buy some of his tracks. All proceeds to go to Adam's family

Adam started music as a young boy of 6 or 7 years old. He was taught Mbira by his older brothers in Seke. Adam is full time musician. His first tour was a tour of Europe in 1983, touring with a traditional group called “Mhuri YaMatari”. The group was headed by Joseph Matari. After this tour Adam branched out into fusion music, playing the traditional Mbira in a fusion band.

Adam would play in Harare with the band “Peace” alongside Victor Kulonga. A few years ago Adam recorded an album with Sheer Music called “Famba Pore Pore” in English this translates as “take it easy”. Adam lives in Chitungwiza- Musha Mukuru and is hoping his music will reach a wider audience and be enjoyed by diverse people all over the world.
