True Sacrifice are a gospel band founded by Alvis Makaza. Alvis was educated at Goromonzi Catholic Mission where he learnt to enjoy Gospel Music singing in both the Primary and Secondary school choir. Mukuru discovered this band through a referral from their employer.
Alvis and Gracious both work on the same property as domestic workers. Brian works next door. The trio met and sang together for the first time at the Apostolic Faith Mission Church near Borrowdale Brooke golf course.
The group sing most Sundays in worship. Alvis likes to sing in his rural home area of Murewa. The band are working toward buying instruments to improve their sound. All the musicians have been taught to sing by friends.
