Calistos band formed in 2005. The band have recorded two albums at The Shed Studio in Msasa, one in 2006 and one in 2008. The players used all their savings to pay for the album. Calisto earns a living from selling Econet Airtime cards and newspapers. Fidelus works as a gardner and Frank is a part time driver. Both Fidelus and Frank are in South Africa searching for greener pastures. Calisto still sells newspapers at the Borrowdale Road, Addington Lane intersection. He says since dollarisation he is making better money. The Music from the albums has been played on radio. The band are able to collect royalties from the Music Rights Centre in Mount Pleasant but at the moment the royalties won't even "buy a loaf".
