Dearest Tsotsi and Wouldbe Fraudster,
It is with deep regret that I must inform you of the security measures
on Mukuru.com. I understand you would like to use your stolen cards and
phony details on our site but for reasons of karma and brand management
we simply can't let this happen. We have therefore undertaken the following:
Whenever you buy something on Mukuru.com we don't generate Mukuru Vouchers
(see What is Mukuru.com) for your order until
your payment has cleared. Yes, yes, a fairly grave issue
for you. This means only when we see funds hit our account (from paypal/cash/transfer)
do we generate a voucher and send it via SMS and email to the recipient. |
 |
Wait. There's more. As a buyer on Mukuru you HAVE to indicate
the recipient's details including a form of ID and it's number. They are
required to present this info when redeeming their Voucher in Zim. If
you'd like them to receive vouchers by SMS then you'll also have to give
us their cellphone number as well. So even if you manage to wriggle through
round one of security and we DO send a Voucher to your shamwari on the
ground in Zim - we will have all of his/her details. They'll then get
sent to a nasty prison and you'll have a vendetta on your hands.
And what about trying to snoop information from other customers? Sorry
again, Mukuru's entire site is encrypted between the server (us) and the
web-browser (you) so it's mighty difficult to chaya their information.
Secondly, our credit card partners, Netbanx, are using 3D-Secure, an even
more trusted way to ensure the card isn't stolen. - I know... upsetting.
And what about the fake addresses and phony info you could use to disguise
yourself as someone else? Thwak! Taken care of, we are now a member of
the GB
Group, and use their services to trawl instantly through Address/Passport/Electricity/Telephone/Driving
License/Birth Index/ records to ensure all the info you give us is shasha.......so
Sha!
I understand this is not good news, and wish you the best of luck elsewhere,
if you have any complaints please email tsotsi@mukuru.com
.
Deepest apologies,
