Terms & Conditions for the Mukuru Mighty Wanderers Super League Ticket Competition

  1. Introduction
    1. The Mukuru Win a return flight to China Competition (“the Competition”) is being run by SMH Botswana Bureau de Change (Pty) Ltd (Company Registration number CO2012/7660)   trading as Mukuru      (“Mukuru”) from 17 April 2023 – 30 June 2023 (“the Competition Period”) subject to these specific terms and conditions and the general terms and conditions for competitions which can be found at www.mukuru.com (“Competition Ts & Cs”)
    2. By participating in the Competition, you and the recipient confirm that you have both read and agree to be legally bound by the Competition Ts & Cs (as may be applicable).

  2. Competition Entry Requirements:
    1. In order to qualify for entry into the Competition:
      1. you be a registered Mukuru Customer (as defined by Mukuru);
      2. using Mukuru, you must send a minimum amount of P10,000 (Ten Thousand Pula) to a recipient of your choice in China, during the Competition Period;
      3. You must have a valid passport and should be able to travel before 30 June 2024;
      4. You must abide by all the Competition Ts and Cs.
    2. For the purposes of the Competition, Mukuru will need to process your personal information.  For example, your personal information will be used to validate your entry, make the reward available to you if you are a winner, announce the winners on social media and potentially share your personal information with 3rd parties in other countries.  Protecting your personal information is important to Mukuru and will be processed according to our Privacy Notice.  By entering the Competition, you consent to us processing your personal information for the purposes of the Competition.
    3. Entrants who fulfil the requirements of clause 2.1 and 2.2 above will be referred to as “Qualifying Participants” for the purposes of the Competition. 
  3. The Prize
    1. All Qualifying Participants from South Africa, Lesotho, eSwatini, Zimbabwe, Botswana, Zambia and Uganda will be entered into a single random draw where one (1) Qualifying Participants in total will win the Prize during the Competition Period.
    2. The Prize consists of the following:
      1. Return flight tickets (economy class on a carrier of Mukuru’s choice) to China for the winner. Mukuru will work with the winner to arrange the redemption of the prize (travel dates and destination etc.) – flights cannot be changed once booked;
    3. Exclusions: all expenses not expressly listed in clause 3.2 above. The winner will be solely responsible for all such expenses.
    4. The winner will be drawn on 7 July 2023. Winner may be announced on social media and will also contacted via telephone. Winners must be able to supply Mukuru with a copy of their valid passport. 
    5. If a winner:
      1. cannot be contacted by Mukuru within two (2) tries; or 
      2. cannot provide Mukuru with a valid passport; or
      3. cannot travel before 30 June 2024;
        then the winner will forfeit the Prize.
  4. General 
    1. Mukuru employees or agents will not be allowed to enter the Competition. 
    2. Qualifying Participants must be 18 years or older.
    3. A Qualifying Participant can only win once during the Competition Period.
    4. If the winner is not fully vaccinated, Mukuru cannot guarantee that the winner will be able to make use of the Prize in full or in part and Mukuru disclaims all liability in this regard.
    5. The winner needs to hold a valid passport. 
    6. Mukuru cannot guarantee that the winner will be able to enter into China and disclaims all liability in this regard.
    7. Flight and accommodation details cannot be amended.
    8. The Prize cannot be exchanged for cash or another reward.
    9. If for any reason, the Competition cannot run as planned because of any technical failures, unauthorised intervention, computer virus, mobile network failure, tampering, fraud or any other causes beyond our control which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Competition, we reserve the right to cancel, terminate, modify, suspend or cancel the Competition and/or to disqualify any individual who (whether directly or indirectly) causes (or has caused) the problem. 
    10. Mukuru may vary the terms of or cancel the Competition at any time. Mukuru may vary or cancel the Competition at any time without any liability to any person involved directly or indirectly in the Competition. 
    11. Mukuru cannot be held liable for any type of loss, expense or damage to any person participating in the Competition.
    12. Neither Mukuru  nor its agents shall be responsible for any loss or misdirected entries, including entries that were not received due to any failure of hardware, software, or other computer or technical systems affecting participating and/or prize redemption process of the Competition.
    13. A failure by Mukuru to enforce any one of the terms and conditions in any instance(s) will not give rise to any claim or right of action by any Qualifying Entrant or winner. If Mukuru does not enforce a provision, this will not mean that Mukuru has given up on or lost any rights.
    14. Mukuru will not assume any liability to any participant, Qualifying Participant, or prize winner in connection with or arising out of the Competition however it is caused, including for any costs, expenses, forfeited prizes, damages and other liabilities 
    15. These Competition Terms and Conditions are governed by and determined in accordance with the laws of Botswana.
