Purpose of the position:

The purpose of this role is to manage the daily operations and staff of the stores across Zambia.
To expand and enhance the Zambia Business.

Description of position:

The Zambia Country Manager will be reporting directly to the CEO. This position is responsible for the daily operations of the stores and staff. This role will suit an engaging communicator, who is able to build trusting relationships with the banks – negotiating better Foreign Exchange deals for the business, as well as expanding the remittance portion of the business, through business development initiatives, and opening of new stores across Zambia.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Daily operations of small to medium sized Stores across Zambia
• Staff retention and duties related to staff management and employing of new staff
• Relationship building within the banks and required sectors of the business
• Negotiation with the banks to get better deals on foreign exchange
• Expanding Remittance portions of the business
• Business Development within Zambia
• Identifying new opportunities

Requirements:

• University Degree
• More than 5 years Management experience in the Financial Services/Foreign Exchange / Banking Industry
• 3 Years Commercial experience ideally in Retail and Logistics
• Speak, Read and Write English and Bemba / Nyanja
• Valid driver’s licence and own car
• Willing to travel within Zambia and from time to time to South Africa
• Computer literate in Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint, Microsoft office and Outlook
• Able to read and understand financial report
• Computer literate in Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint, Microsoft office and Outlook
• Willingness to travel across Zambia and from time to time to South Africa
• Be able to do presentations in business meetings
• Good understanding of the industry
• Be able to think out of the box and be innovative
• Work after hours from time to time as and when the business requires it
