Mukuru Africa (Pty) Ltd will be conducting interviews for Information Officers.  It is important that applicants have a knowledge of money transfer procedures, FICA and FAIS regulations and African currencies.  It is essential that applicants are able to understand and speak a Zimbabwean/Malawian/other relevant African language.   Please refer to our website for detailed job descriptions and requirements for the various roles at www.mukuru.com

The main purpose of the role is to accurately sign up new customers in order to grow the Mukuru customer base.

The Information Officer reports directly to the Area Sales Supervisor. This position is responsible for signing
up new customers for Mukuru services on the Mukuru app. They are responsible for accurately capturing
customer details as well capturing FICA required documentation and photos. They are also responsible for
assisting customers in order to resolve their queries.

Internal Liaison takes place with the all Agent Support Consultants. External liaison takes place customers.

 

Duties and Responsibilities (includes but is not limited to):

  • To develop awareness of the Mukuru brand and services
  • To issue customers with new Mukuru cards
  • To sign up new customers on the Mukuru app
  • Provide customer with all the information regarding registration
  • Capture customer information and personal details into the Mukuru app and ask customer to read the indemnity
  • Take a clear photo of the customer and save it
  • Capture a photo of the proof of address and proof of income, and capture the income amount accurately
  • Ensure customer gets an OTP in order to proceed with sign-up
  • Complete sign-up and submit for verifications to approval
  • Resolve any queries from the verifications team if required
  • Explain to customers the steps required to complete a money transfer
  • To ensure all required regulations are adhered to
  • To provide assistance to customers who have queries
  • To assist customers by creating orders when required
  • To ensure the info center is maintained and looks professional at all times
  • To liaise with Area Sales Supervisor

 

Requirements:

  • Grade 12 / or equivalent (Essential)
  • Understanding and speaking of a Zimbabwean/Malawian/other relevant language (Essential)
  • Knowledge of Mukuru products and services
  • Knowledge of FICA and CPA regulations
  • Customer service experience (Desirable)
