Terms & Conditions for Blacvolta Incentive Campaign

  1. Introduction
    1. The Blacvolta Incentive Campaign (“the Campaign”) is being run by Remitix Limited (Company Registration number 05270734) (“Mukuru”) from  13 December 2024 – 20 February 2025 (“the Campaign Period”) subject to these specific terms and conditions and the general terms and conditions for Competitions and Campaigns which can be found at www.mukuru.com (“Campaign Ts & Cs”). 
    2. By participating in the Campaign, you confirm that you have read and agree to be legally bound by the Campaign Ts & Cs.

  2. Campaign Entry Requirements:
    1. To qualify to participate in the Campaign, you must:
      1. be a registered United Kingdom Mukuru Customer as defined by Mukuru;
      2. be living in the United Kingdom at the time; 
      3. send the following minimum amounts through any Mukuru platform from the United Kingdom to any of the following countries during the Campaign Period:
        1. NGN 300,000.00 (three hundred thousand) to Nigeria, or 
        2. GHS 3000.00 (three thousand) to Ghana. 
    2. Persons who fulfill the requirements of clause 2.1 above will be referred to as “Qualifying Participants” for the Campaign.
    3. Each transaction meeting the requirements of clause 2.1.3 shall be referred to as a “Qualifying Send”. Each Qualifying Send will be considered a separate entry for the week in which it occurs. Qualifying Participants will only be included in the draw for the specific week during which the Qualifying Send took place.
    4. Mukuru and Blacvolta may process your personal information when you use the Mukuru Service. Protecting your personal information is important to both parties and processing is done according to their respective Privacy Notices. When Mukuru runs Competitions or Campaigns and you qualify for a Prize, Mukuru or Blacvolta will need to process your personal information for additional purposes.  For example, your personal information may be used to validate your entry, make the Prize available to you if you are a Winner and potentially share your personal information with 3rd parties (including 3rd parties in other countries) who need to know.  We will ensure those 3rd parties have adequate data protection safeguards in place. Mukuru and/or Blacvolta also announces the Winners on their social media platforms and if this Campaign includes Mukuru or Blacvolta wanting to post names, photos, or videos of you as a Winner on their social media, you will be asked if you agree thereto, and you have the right to withhold consent.
  3. The Prize
    1. All Qualifying Participants will be entered into a random draw to stand a chance to win one of forty (40) vouchers for a range of experiences offered by Blacvolta which include (but are not limited to) concert tickets, shopping vouchers, spa vouchers, and restaurant/bar spend limit vouchers (“the Prizes”). 
    2. The Winners will be granted an opportunity to choose from an available list of Prizes of varying values. Any given Winner is only entitled to choose one Prize from the list presented to them. 
    3. Weekly random draws will be held every Friday during the Campaign Period.
    4. There will be a total of forty (40) Winners throughout the Campaign Period. A total of four (4) Winners (“Weekly Winners”) will be chosen each week, broken down as follows: 
      1. one (1) Weekly Winner who has fulfilled the minimum stipulated send value to Ghana in accordance with clause 2; and  
      2. three (3) Weekly Winners who have fulfilled the minimum stipulated send value to Nigeria in accordance with clause 2.
    5. The weekly Winners will be announced on the social media pages of Blacvolta, namely: Facebook and Instagram.
    6. Mukuru will make 3 attempts to contact each Winner 3 over 48 hours. If a Winner is not successfully contacted, they forfeit the Prize, and the next Winner will be contacted.
    7. The Winners will be announced every Monday during the Campaign Period, or as soon as reasonably possible. A link to the vouchers will be sent to the respective Winner’s registered address or WhatsApp number. 
    8. If a Winner has not chosen a voucher and redeemed their Prize within seven (7) days from the date of announcement, they will automatically forfeit their prize. 
    9. For the avoidance of doubt, Winners must choose a voucher within three (3) working days of having received a notification to do so via their registered email address or WhatsApp number linked to the Mukuru account used to comply with clause 2. 
    10. The Prize cannot be exchanged for cash under any circumstances. 
  4. General
    1. Mukuru employees and agents will not be allowed to enter the Campaign. 
    2. Qualifying Participants must be 18 years or older.
    3. Weekly Winners are not able to win more than once during the Campaign Period.
    4. If for any reason, the Campaign cannot run as planned because of any technical failures, unauthorised intervention, computer virus, mobile network failure, stock unavailability, tampering, fraud or any other causes beyond our control which corrut or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Campaign, we reserve the right to cancel, terminate, modify, suspend or cancel the Campaign and/or to disqualify any individual who (whether directly or indirectly) causes (or has caused) the problem. 
    5. Mukuru may vary the terms of or cancel the Campaign at any time. Mukuru may vary or cancel the Campaign at any time without any liability to any person involved directly or indirectly in the Campaign. 
    6. Mukuru cannot be held liable for any failure to deliver the vouchers which is attributable to Blacvolta or technical failures outside of Mukuru’s control.
    7. Mukuru cannot be held liable for any loss, expense or damage to any person participating in the Campaign.
    8. A failure by Mukuru to enforce any one of the terms and conditions in any instance(s) will not give rise to any claim or right of action by any Qualifying Participant. If Mukuru does not enforce a provision, this will not mean that Mukuru has given up on or lost any rights.
    9. Mukuru will not assume any liability to any participant, or Qualifying Participant in connection with or arising out of the Campaign however it is caused, including for any costs, expenses, forfeited rewards, damages, and other liabilities 
    10. These Campaign Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
