Terms & Conditions for the Zimfest 2024 Competition

  1. Introduction
    1. The Mukuru Zimfest Competition 2024 (“the Competition”) is being run by Remitix Limited (Company Registration number 5270734) (“Mukuru”) from 3 – 18 July 2024 (“the Competition Period”) subject to these specific terms and conditions and the general terms and conditions for competitions and Competitions which can be found at www.mukuru.com (“Competition Ts & Cs”). 
    2. By participating in the Competition, you confirm that you have read and agree to be legally bound by the Competition Ts & Cs.

  2. Competition Entry Requirements: 
    1. To qualify to participate in the Competition, you must:
      1. reside in the United Kingdom; 
      2. download the Mukuru UK app and register as a Mukuru Customer (as defined by Mukuru) during the Competition Period and send money internationally for the first time using the Mukuru UK app during the Competition Period; or
      3. have downloaded the Mukuru UK before the Competition Period and send money during the Competition Period
      4. if you comply with either criteria stipulated in 2.1.2 or 2.1.3, you will be entered into the Competition to win tickets to the following Event:
        Event 1 on 27 and 28 July 2024
      5. you must abide by all the Competition Ts and Cs.
    2. Persons who fulfil the requirements of clause 2.1 above will be referred to as “Qualifying Participants” for the purposes of the Competition.
    3. For the purposes of the Competition, Mukuru will need to process your personal information.  For example, your personal information will be used to validate your entry, make the reward available to you if you are a Winners, announce the Winners on social media, and potentially share your personal information with 3rd parties in other countries.  Protecting your personal information is important to Mukuru and will be processed according to our Privacy Notice.  By entering the Competition, you consent to us processing your personal information for the purposes of the Competition. 
  3. The Prize
    1. All Qualifying Participants will be entered into a random draw to win tickets (“the Prize”) to attend the Event as stipulated in Clause 2.1.
    2. There will be 17 (seventeen)) Winners in total during the Competition Period. Winners will be split up as follows:
      1. 10 Winners will each win 2x standard festival tickets for the Event;
      2. 4 Winners will win 2x VVIP Festival tickets for the Event; and
      3. 3 Winners will win 2x VIP tickets.  
    3. The Prize consists of tickets only and the Winners will be liable for all other costs associated with utilizing the prize, including but not limited to travel to and from the Event, accommodation, refreshments etc. 
    4. The random draw will take place on:
      1. 18 July 2024
    5. The Winners will be contacted via telephone, and may also be announced on social media channels, including but not limited to Facebook.
    6. If Mukuru is successful in contacting a Winner, a Winner will be emailed his/her 2x tickets in the week leading up to the specific Event, using the email address that Mukuru has on file for the Winner. It remains the responsibility of the Winner to follow up with Mukuru if the tickets are not received.
    7. Should Mukuru be unable to contact a Winner after 3 (three) tries the Prize will be forfeited and the next Qualifying Participant will be contacted.
  4. General 
    1. Mukuru employees and agents will not be allowed to enter the Competition. 
    2. Qualifying Participants must be 18 years or older.
    3. Qualifying Participants can only win once during the Competition Period.
    4. Mukuru cannot guarantee that the Winners will be able to enter the stadium and disclaims all liability in this regard.
    5. The Prize cannot be exchanged for cash or another reward.
    6. If for any reason, the Competition cannot run as planned because of any technical failures, unauthorised intervention, computer virus, mobile network failure, stock unavailability, tampering, fraud or any other causes beyond our control which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Competition, we reserve the right to cancel, terminate, modify, suspend or cancel the Competition and/or to disqualify any individual who (whether directly or indirectly) causes (or has caused) the problem. 
    7. Mukuru may vary the terms of or cancel the Competition at any time. Mukuru may vary or cancel the Competition at any time without any liability to any person involved directly or indirectly in the Competition. 
    8. Mukuru cannot be held liable for any loss, expense, or damage to any person participating in the Competition.
    9. A failure by Mukuru to enforce any one of the terms and conditions in any instance(s) will not give rise to any claim or right of action by any Qualifying Entrant or Winners. If Mukuru does not enforce a provision, this will not mean that Mukuru has given up on or lost any rights
    10. Neither Mukuru nor its agents shall be responsible for any loss or misdirected entries, including entries that were not received due to any failure of hardware, software, or other computer or technical systems affecting the participating and/or prize redemption process of the Competition. 
    11. Mukuru will not assume any liability to any participant, or Qualifying Participant in connection with or arising out of the Competition however it is caused, including for any costs, expenses, forfeited rewards, damages and other liabilities 
    12. These Competition Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom.
