Mukuru UK Send and Win Competition

  1. Introduction
    1. The Mukuru UK Send and Win Competition] (“the Competition”) is being run by Remitix Limited (Company Registration number 5270734 trading as Mukuru (“Mukuru”) from 23 May 2020 until 7 February 2021 (“the Competition Period”) subject to these specific terms and conditions and the general terms and conditions for competitions which can be found at [email protected] (“Competition Ts & Cs”) https://www.mukuru.com/en-uk/general-terms-and-conditions-mukuru-competitions/
    2. By participating in the Competition, you confirm that you have read and agree to be legally bound by the Competition Ts & Cs (as may be applicable).

  2. Competition Entry Requirements:
    1. In order to qualify for entry into the Competition you must:
      1. be a registered United Kingdom Mukuru Customer (as defined by Mukuru);
      2. send money to your chosen recipient using the Mukuru Service during the Competition Period;
      3. must have sent money (clause 2.1.2 above) in the first two weeks (14 days) of any of the time periods listed in clause 3.2 below;
      4. agree, that if you are selected as a winner, that Mukuru may announce you as the winner, using your name and a photo of you, on our media platforms (including on our website, social media channels, email and in our monthly newsletter; and
      5. abide by all the Competition Ts and Cs.
    2. By entering the Competition, you are granting Mukuru permission and authority to use your name and any photo you use in this Competition for the purposes of this Competition and for any other marketing communication.
    3. Participants who fulfil the requirements of clause 2.1 and 2.2 above will be referred to as “Qualifying Participants” for the purposes of the Competition.
  3. Winners selection
    1. One (1) Qualifying Participant will be randomly selected as the winner each month (as per clause 3.2) using random.org https://www.random.org/
    2. Only money sent during the first two weeks (first 14 days, the first and last day inclusive) of each period listed below (3.2.1-3.2.8) will be used in the random selection of a winner at the end of each relevant period (relevant period being for example: 23 May – 5 June 2020) during the Competition Period:
      1. May 2020 – 5 June 2020;
      2. 23 June 2020 – 5 July 2020;
      3. 23 July 2020 – 5 August 2020;
      4. 24 August 2020 – 5 September 2020;
      5. 23 September 2020 – 5 October 2020;
      6. 23 October 2020– 5 November 2020;
      7. 23 November 2020 – 6 December 2020; and
      8. 22 January 2020 – 7 February 2020.
  4. The Prize(s)
    1. Each winner will receive as their prize the value of their last send on Mukuru, to the maximum value of £150 (One hundred and fifty Pounds). The Prize will either be sent to the winner’s bank account or the winner may choose to remit to a recipient of his/her choice in applicable countries, using the Mukuru Service (less applicable remittance fees) (“the Prize”).
  5. Announcement of winners
    1. Each winner will be contacted telephonically by Mukuru.
    2. If Mukuru is not able to reach the winner within 3 days of the winner selection, then the Prize will be forfeited.
  6. General
    1. Mukuru employees will not be allowed to enter the Competition
    2. If for any reason, the Competition cannot run as planned because of any technical failures, unauthorised intervention, computer virus, mobile network failure, tampering, fraud or any other causes beyond our control which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Competition, we reserve the right to cancel, terminate, modify, suspend or cancel the Competition and/or to disqualify any individual who (whether directly or indirectly) causes (or has caused) the problem.
    3. Mukuru may vary the terms of or cancel the Competition at any time. Mukuru may vary or cancel the Competition at any time without any liability to any person involved directly or indirectly in the Competition.
    4. Mukuru cannot be held liable for any loss, expense or damage to any person participating in the Competition.
    5. A failure by Mukuru to enforce any one of the terms and conditions in any instance(s) will not give rise to any claim or right of action by any Qualifying Entrant or winner. If Mukuru does not enforce a provision, this will not mean that Mukuru has given up on or lost any rights.
    6. Mukuru will not assume any liability to any participant, Qualifying Participant, or prize winner in connection with or arising out of the Competition however it is caused, including for any costs, expenses, forfeited prizes, damages and other liabilities
    7. These Competition Terms and Conditions are governed by and determined in accordance with the laws of England.
