Terms & Conditions for Mukuru UK Spot the Bus Competition

  1. Introduction

    1.1. The Mukuru UK Spot the Bus Competition (“the Competition”) is being run by Remitix Limited (Company Registration number 5270734) trading as Mukuru (“Mukuru”) from 30 November 2020 – 12 January 2021 (“the Competition Period”) subject to these specific terms and conditions and the general terms and conditions for Competitions which can be found at www.remitix.com (“Competition Ts & Cs”) https://www.mukuru.com/en-uk/general-terms-and-conditions-mukuru-competitions/
    1.2. By participating in the Competition, you confirm that you have read and agree to be legally bound by the Competition Ts & Cs.

  2. Competition Entry Requirements:

    2.1. To qualify to participate in the Competition, you must:
    2.1.1. reside in the United Kingdom;
    2.1.2. spot the Mukuru bus in the UK, take a visible photograph of both the Mukuru bus and the Mukuru banner, and send the photo to the Mukuru UK Facebook page via Facebook Messenger or email the photographs to marketing@mukuru.com;
    2.1.3. agree, that if you are selected as a winner, that Mukuru may announce you as the winner, using your name and a photo of you, on our media platforms (including on our website, social media channels, email and in our monthly newsletter); and
    2.1.4. abide by all applicable Ts & Cs.
    2.2. By entering the Competition, you are granting Mukuru permission and authority to use your name and any photo you use in this Competition for the purposes of this Competition and for any other marketing communication.
    2.3. Participants who fulfil the requirements of clause 2.1 above will be referred to as “Qualifying Participants” for the purposes of the Competition.

  3. Winner Selection

    3.1. One (1) Qualifying Participant with the most likes on their submitted photograph, under paragraph 2 above, will be selected as the winner during the Competition Period.

  4. The Prize

    4.1. The winner will win £1000 (one thousand Pounds) which will be paid into the winner’s UK based bank account (“the Prize”).
    4.2. Alternatively, the winner may choose to remit the Prize to a recipient of his/her choice in applicable countries, using the Mukuru Service.
    4.3. If the Prize is remitted using the Mukuru Service to a recipient, the Prize will be converted (on the date on which the winner is announced) into the official currency of the country in which the recipient is located.

  5. Announcement of winner

    5.1. The winner will be contacted via Facebook Messenger and will be announced on Mukuru’s UK Facebook page on 14 January 2021.
    5.2. If Mukuru is unable to contact the winner and/or the prize cannot be transferred to the winner within 4 (four) calendar days, the prize will be forfeited and the next runner-up who qualifies under the Competition Terms will be selected.

  6. General

    6.1. If both the Mukuru bus and the Mukuru banner (displayed on the bus) are not clearly visible in the photo, the photo will not qualify for the purposes of this Competition.
    6.2. Any photo which contains any content which Mukuru finds offensive, disturbing, prohibitive or otherwise unacceptable, will, in Mukuru’s sole discretion, be disqualified from this Competition.
    6.3. Mukuru employees will not be allowed to enter the Competition.
    6.4. Qualifying Participants must be 18 years or older.
    6.5. If for any reason, the Competition cannot run as planned because of any technical failures, unauthorised intervention, computer virus, mobile network failure, tampering, fraud or any other causes beyond our control which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Competition, we reserve the right to cancel, terminate, modify, suspend or cancel the Competition and/or to disqualify any individual who (whether directly or indirectly) causes (or has caused) the problem.
    6.6. Mukuru may vary the terms of or cancel the Competition at any time – without any liability to any person involved directly or indirectly in the Competition.
    6.7. Mukuru cannot be held liable for any loss, expense or damage to any person participating in the Competition.
    6.8. A failure by Mukuru to enforce any one of the terms and conditions in any instance(s) will not give rise to any claim or right of action by any Qualifying Participant. If Mukuru does not enforce a provision, this will not mean that Mukuru has given up on or lost any rights.
    6.9. Mukuru will not assume any liability to any participant, or Qualifying Participant in connection with or arising out of the Competition however it is caused, including for any costs, expenses, forfeited rewards, damages and other liabilities.
    6.10. These Competition Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England.
