1. Introduction
    1. The Mukuru CP Academy Competition (“the Competition”) is being run by Remitix Limited (Company Registration number 5270734)  trading as Mukuru ​​(“Mukuru”) from 6 February 2023 – 28 February 2023 (“the Competition Period”) subject to these specific terms and conditions and the general terms and conditions for competitions which can be found at www.mukuru.com (“Competition Ts & Cs”) 
    2. By participating in the Competition, you confirm that you have read and agree to be legally bound by the Competition Ts & Cs (as may be applicable)

  2. Competition Entry Requirements
    1. In order to qualify for entry into the Competition: 
      1. you must be a registered Mukuru Customer (as defined by Mukuru); 
      2. you must be the parent or lawful guardian of the intended winning child or a family member of the intended winning child; 
      3. you must download the Mukuru UK app and send money for the very first time using the Mukuru Service; 
      4. you must send any amount to a recipient of your choice in one of the 20 countries in which Mukuru has a presence, during the Competition Period; 
      5. You must abide by all the Competition Ts and Cs. 
    2. Your personal information:  For the purposes of the Competition, Mukuru will need to process your personal information.  For example, your personal information will be used to validate your entry, make the reward available to you if you are a winner, announce the winners on social media and potentially share your personal information with 3rd parties in other countries.  Protecting your personal information is important to Mukuru and will be processed according to our Privacy Notice.  By entering the Competition, you consent to us processing your personal information for the purposes of the Competition. 
    3. The child’s personal information:  For the purposes of the Competition, Mukuru will need to process the child’s and the child’s friends’ personal information.  For example, the child’s personal information will be used to make the reward available to you if you are a winner, announce the winners on social media including the use of photos and videos.  For Mukuru to process a child’s personal information it must have the consent of the child’s parent or legal guardian to do so.  A consent form will be provided to the winner and each of the friends.   
    4. Entrants who fulfil the requirements of clause 2.1 – 2.3 above will be referred to as “Qualifying Participants” for the purposes of the Competition.  
  3. The Prize 
    1. All Qualifying Participants who meet the entry requirements will be entered into a random draw to stand a chance to win one of 2 (two) Prizes during the Competition Period.
    2. Each of the two (2) Prizes consists of the following: 
      1. Each winner’s child (in case winner has more than one child the winner will chose the applicable child and where the winner does not have a child then the winner can chose a family member’s child) and a total of four (4) of the child’s chosen friends will win the opportunity to attend at the Crystal Palace Academy, situated at CPFC Academy Training ground, Copers Cope Road, Beckenham, Kent  BR3 1NZ on a date and time agreed to between the winner and Mukuru where they get: Meet and Greet with Crystal Palace players, tour of the Crystal Palace Academy, receipt of merchandise, lunch at the Academy. 
      2. Photos and/or videos will be taken by Mukuru of the children enjoying the Prize.  These photos and the video footage will be shared by Mukuru on social media and may be used on broadcasting platforms. 
    3. EXCLUSIONS Each winner will be liable for all other costs for the winning child plus the four (4) friends which may be associated with utilizing the Prize, including but not limited to travel to and from the Crystal Palace Academy, accommodation, refreshments etc
    4. Only two (2) winners will be chosen.  The winners will be announced by the 3rd of March 2023.  The winners will be contacted via the mobile number given on entry and may also be announced on LinkedIn.
    5. If a winner’s parent or lawful guardian:
      1. cannot or does not want to sign a consent form which gives Mukuru permission to process personal information belonging to the child; or cannot or does not want to sign the indemnity form; or 
      2. 3.5.2 cannot (together with the winning child) attend at the Crystal Palace Academy on a date agreed to with Mukuru but which date must be prior to 30 May 2023; 
      3. 3.5.3 cannot be contacted after 3 (three) telephone calls; then the winner will forfeit the Prize.
    6. If a winner does not have a child and does not have a family member with a child that the winner can nominate, then the winner will forfeit the Prize. 
    7. 3.7 If a nominated friend’s parent or lawful guardian does not want to sign the consent form or the indemnity form, such a child will not be able to attend on the day that the winner’s child utilizes the Prize. 
    8. 3.8 If a winner is selected and all the requirements have been met, but on collection of the child at the given address, the child is not present or the child does not have a parent or legal guardian to accompany them, then the winner will forfeit the Prize. 
  4. General
    1. Mukuru employees will not be allowed to enter the Competition.  
    2. Qualifying Participants must be 18 years or older. 
    3. A Qualifying Participant can only win once during the Competition Period. 
    4. Prize cannot be exchanged for cash or another reward. 
    5. If for any reason, the Competition cannot run as planned because of date availability any technical failures, vehicle problems, unauthorised intervention, computer virus, mobile network failure, tampering, fraud or any other causes beyond our control which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Competition, we reserve the right to cancel, terminate, modify, suspend or cancel the Competition and/or to disqualify any individual who (whether directly or indirectly) causes (or has caused) the problem.  
    6. Mukuru may vary the terms of or cancel the Competition at any time. Mukuru may vary or cancel the Competition at any time without any liability to any person involved directly or indirectly in the Competition.  
    7. Mukuru cannot be held liable for any type of loss, expense or damage to any person participating in the Competition. 
    8. Neither Mukuru  nor its agents shall be responsible for any loss or misdirected entries, including entries that were not received due to any failure of hardware, software, or other computer or technical systems affecting participating and/or prize redemption process of the Competition. 
    9. A failure by Mukuru to enforce any one of the terms and conditions in any instance(s) will not give rise to any claim or right of action by any Qualifying Participant or winner. If Mukuru does not enforce a provision, this will not mean that Mukuru has given up on or lost any rights. 
    10. Mukuru will not assume any liability to any participant, Qualifying Participant, or prize winner in connection with or arising out of the Competition however it is caused, including for any costs, expenses, forfeited prizes, damages and other liabilities  
    11. ​​​These Competition Terms and Conditions are governed by and determined in accordance with the laws of the United Kingdom.
