Terms & Conditions for Mukuru Lesotho Black Friday Deal Competition

  1. Introduction
    1. The Mukuru Lesotho Black Friday Deal Competition (“the Competition”) is being run by  Mukuru Bureau de Change (Pty) Ltd with registration number 53578 (“Mukuru”) on 29 November 2024 (“the Competition period”) subject to these specific terms and conditions and the general terms and conditions for Campaigns which can be found at www.mukuru.com (“Competition Ts & Cs”).
    2. By participating in the Competition, you confirm that you have read and agree to be legally bound by the Competition Ts & Cs.

  2. Competition Entry Requirements:ts:
    1. To qualify to participate in the Campaign, you must:
      1. be a customer of Mukuru in Lesotho, as defined by Mukuru;
      2. send M500 (five hundred maloti) or more on 29 November 2024 at any Mukuru booth or branch countrywide; and
      3. You must comply with these terms and conditions.
    2. Persons who fulfil the requirements of clause 2.1 above will be referred to as “Qualifying Participants” for the purposes of the Competition.
    3. Mukuru processes your personal information when you use the Mukuru Service. Protecting your personal information is important to Mukuru and processing is done according to our Privacy Notice. When we run competitions and you qualify for a Prize, Mukuru will need to process your personal information for additional purposes.  For example, your personal information may be used to validate your entry, make the reward available to you if you are a winner and potentially share your personal information with 3rd parties (including 3rd parties in other countries) who need to know.  We will ensure those 3rd parties have adequate data protection safeguards in place. Mukuru also announces the winners on social media and if this Competition includes Mukuru wanting to post photos or videos of you as a Winner on our social media, you will be asked if you agree thereto, and you have the right to withhold consent. 
  3. The Prize
    1. Qualifying Participants will be entered into a random draw to each win M50 (fifty maloti), sent to Winners via the eco-cash platform. The details required for eco-cash transfers will be gathered once a transaction is completed under clause 2.1.
    2. A total of up to 100 (one hundred) Winners will be chosen and announced on the Mukuru facebook page within 7 days of the Competition date.
    3. Winners will be contacted within 7 days of the Competition period. Should Mukuru fail to make contact with a Winner within 3 attempts over 48 hours, the Prize will be forfeited, and the next Qualifying Participant will be contacted.
    4. Winners should be able to present Mukuru with proof of identification before the Prize will be issued.
  4. General 
    1. Mukuru employees and agents will not be allowed to enter the Campaign. 
    2. Qualifying Participants must be 18 years or older.
    3. If for any reason, the Competition cannot run as planned because of any technical failures, unauthorised intervention, computer virus, mobile network failure, stock unavailability, tampering, fraud or any other causes beyond our control that corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Campaign, we reserve the right to cancel, terminate, modify, suspend or cancel the Competition and/or to disqualify any individual who (whether directly or indirectly) causes (or has caused) the problem. 
    4. Mukuru may vary the terms of or cancel the Competition at any time. Mukuru may vary or cancel the Competition at any time without any liability to any person involved directly or indirectly in the Campaign. 
    5. The Prize is not transferrable for cash or any other currency.
    6. A failure by Mukuru to enforce any one of the terms and conditions in any instance(s) will not give rise to any claim or right of action by any Qualifying Participant. If Mukuru does not enforce a provision, this will not mean that Mukuru has given up on or lost any rights.
    7. Mukuru will not assume any liability to any participant, or Qualifying Participant in connection with or arising out of the Competition however it is caused, including for any costs, expenses, forfeited rewards, damages, and other liabilities 
    8. These Competition Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Lesotho.
