The Mukuru Win Back Your Remittance Campaign (“the Campaign”) is being run by Mukuru Africa (Pty) Ltd with registration number 2013/003424/07 (“Mukuru”) from 13 November 2023 to 21 February 2024 (“the Campaign Period”) subject to these specific terms and conditions and the general terms and conditions for competitions and campaigns which can be found at www.mukuru.com (“Competition T’s & C’s”).
By participating in the Campaign, you confirm that you have read and agree to be legally bound by the Campaign T’s & C’s.

Campaign Entry Requirements:
In order to enter the Campaign, you must:
be a registered Mukuru Customer (as defined by Mukuru); and
send a minimum amount of MK50 000 (Fifty Thousand Kwacha) (in a single transaction) using the Mukuru Money Transfer Service during the Campaign Period (“Minimum Transaction”);
send the Remittance to any area in which Mukuru Money Transfer Service operates in.
Persons who fulfill the requirements of clause 2.1 above will be referred to as “Qualifying Entrants” for the purposes of the Campaign.
Mukuru processes your personal information when you use the Mukuru Service. Protecting your personal information is important to Mukuru and processing is done according to our Privacy Notice. When we run competitions and you qualify for a Prize, Mukuru will need to process your personal information for additional purposes. For example, your personal information may be used to validate your entry, make the reward available to you if you are a winner and potentially share your personal information with 3rd parties (including 3rd parties in other countries) who have a need to know. We will ensure those 3rd parties have adequate data protection safeguards in place. Mukuru also announces the winners on social media. If the Competition includes Mukuru wanting to post photos of you as a winner on social media, you will be asked if you agree thereto.
Winner selection and prizes
A Qualifying Entrant will receive 1 (one) entry into the random draw for every Minimum Transaction sent in accordance with clause 2.1.
The Qualifying Entrants are entered into a weekly random draw where they stand a chance to win back the value of their remittance up to a maximum amount of MWK 450,000.00 (Four Hundred and Fifty Thousand Kwacha) (“the Prize”).
After each weekly random draw, 1 (one) winner will be contacted and announced.
Announcement of winners
Winners will be announced weekly on the local Mukuru Facebook page.
Mukuru will contact each winner telephonically to confirm the Prize and the method of receiving the Prize (refer to Clause 5)
If Mukuru is unable to reach a winner within 48 hours of the first attempt to contact them telephonically, the prize will be forfeited to a different winner.
Collection of prizes
Each Qualifying Entrant who receives a Prize will have the choice to receive it on their Mukuru account that was used to affect the Minimum Transaction or any other bank account of which they are the holder.
General
Mukuru employees and agents will not be allowed to enter the competition.
Qualifying Entrants must be 18 years or older.
If for any reason, the Campaign cannot run as planned because of any technical failures, unauthorised intervention, computer virus, mobile network failure, tampering, fraud or any other causes beyond our control which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Campaign, we reserve the right to cancel, terminate, modify, suspend or cancel the Campaign and/or to disqualify any individual who (whether directly or indirectly) causes (or has caused) the problem.
Mukuru may vary the terms of or cancel the Campaign at any time. Mukuru may vary or cancel the Campaign at any time without any liability to any person involved directly or indirectly in the Campaign.
Mukuru cannot be held liable for any loss, expense or damage to any person participating in the Campaign.
A failure by Mukuru to enforce any one of the terms and conditions in any instance(s) will not give rise to any claim or right of action by any Qualifying Entrant. If Mukuru does not enforce a provision, this will not mean that Mukuru has given up on or lost any rights.
Mukuru will not assume any liability to any participant, or Qualifying Entrant in connection with or arising out of the Campaign however it is caused, including for any costs, expenses, forfeited rewards, damages and other liabilities
These Competition Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Malawi.
