The Mukuru QR Campaign (“the Campaign”) is run by Mukuru Africa (Pty) Ltd (Company Registration Number 2013/003424/07) (“Mukuru”) from 28 February 2025 to 31 May 2025, or until Mukuru decides to end the Campaign (“the Campaign Period”), subject to these specific terms and conditions (“Specific Ts & Cs”) and the general terms and conditions for competitions and campaigns found at www.mukuru.com (“General Campaign Ts & Cs”), together the “Campaign Ts and Cs”.
By participating in the Campaign, you confirm that you have read and agree to be legally bound by the Campaign Ts & Cs.

Campaign Entry Requirements:
To qualify to participate in the Campaign, you must:
scan the QR code, available at various locations, and sign up to be a Mukuru customer in South Africa;
fill in the following details on the flyer that’ll be made available at the location of the QR code:
Your name and surname
Your telephone number
“Qualifying Participants” are those who fully satisfy the requirements set out in Clauses 2.1.
Mukuru processes your personal information when you use the Mukuru service. Protecting your personal information is important to Mukuru and processing is done according to our Privacy Notice. When we run Campaigns and you qualify for a prize, Mukuru will need to process your personal information for additional purposes. For example, your personal information may be used to validate your entry, make the prize benefit available to you if you are a winner and potentially share your personal information with 3rd parties (including 3rd parties in other countries) who need to know. We will ensure those 3rd parties have adequate data protection safeguards in place. By taking part in this Campaign, you consent to Mukuru processing your personal information for the purposes of validating your entry, applying the prize benefit, and making any related announcements regarding the Campaign.
The Prize
The Prize for this Campaign is R1000 (One thousand rand) Shoprite voucher, valid for 6 months after the date of issue.
1 Winner will be chosen each month through conducting a random draw, and announced on or before the 7th day of each month.
Winners will be contacted telephonically to confirm their status and requested to provide proof of ID and registration of their Mukuru account during the Campaign Period.
Should Mukuru not be able to successfully contact a Winner within 48 hours, the Prize will be forfeited and the next Winner be contacted.
The Prize will be delivered to the address provided to the Mukuru representative within 7 days of the announcement of a Winner.
General
Mukuru reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or modify the Campaign at any time if technical failures, unauthorized intervention, or any other causes beyond its control affect the fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of the Campaign.
The Prize is not transferable for cash or any other item, unless otherwise stated in the Campaign Ts and Cs or agreed in writing by Mukuru.
Mukuru will not be liable for any costs, damages, or losses incurred by any participant or Winner in connection with this Campaign. The Prize is provided “as is,” without any warranties other than those given by the original issuer, Shoprite. Mukuru will take no responsibility for invalid or expired vouchers due to the negligence or fault of the Winner or original issuer.
Failure by Mukuru to enforce any of the Campaign T’s and C’s does not constitute a waiver of those terms and does not give rise to any claim by any participant.
The Campaign T’s and C’s are governed by the laws of South Africa. By entering and/or taking part in the Campaign, you agree to indemnify Mukuru against any claims or liabilities arising from your participation or acceptance of a prize benefit or participation in the Campaign.
Acceptance
By participating in this Campaign, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by the Campaign Ts and Cs.
