The Mukuru X Space Competition(“the Competition”) is being run by Mukuru Africa (Pty) Ltd (Company Registration number 2013/003424/07) trading as Mukuru (“Mukuru”) on 11 November 2024(“the Competition Date”) subject to these specific terms and conditions and the general terms and conditions for competitions which can be found at www.mukuru.com (“Competition Ts & Cs”)
By participating in the Competition, you confirm that you have read and agree to be legally bound by the Competition Ts & Cs (as may be applicable)

Competition Entry Requirements:
In order to qualify for entry into the Competition and be regarded as a Qualifying Participant:
you must be living in South Africa at the time of the event;
you must:
Follow the Mukuru X page;
Share how long you’ve been a Mukuru customer and what the experience has been like using the hashtags “#MukuruTurns20” and “#MukuruSpace” under the Mukuru X post on the Competition Date.
You must abide by all the Competition Ts and Cs.
Mukuru processes your personal information when you use the Mukuru Service. Protecting your personal information is important to Mukuru and processing is done according to our Privacy Notice. When we run Competitions and you qualify for a Prize, Mukuru will need to process your personal information for additional purposes. For example, your personal information may be used to validate your entry, make the reward available to you if you are a winner and potentially share your personal information with 3rd parties (including 3rd parties in other countries) who need to know. We will ensure those 3rd parties have adequate data protection safeguards in place. Mukuru also announces the Winners on social media. If the Competition includes Mukuru wanting to post photos of you as a winner on social media, you will be asked if you agree thereto. By entering the Competition, you consent to us processing your personal information for the purposes of the Competition.
Entrants who fulfill the requirements of clause 2.1 above will be referred to as “Qualifying Participants” for the Competition.
The Prize
All Qualifying Participants who meet the entry requirements will be entered into a random draw to stand a chance of winning one of 5x Takealot vouchers worth R500 each (“the Prize”).
Mukuru will contact the Winners via a direct message within 48 hours of the Competition Date. If a Winner fails to respond within 48 hours, the Prize will be forfeited, and the next Winner will be contacted.
The 5 Winners will be announced on 15 November 2024 during a live feed on Mukuru’s X account.
The Prizes will be sent to Winners via their chosen e-mail address communicated to Mukuru via their direct message reply.
General
Mukuru employees and agents will not be allowed to enter the Competition.
Qualifying Participants must be 18 years or older.
A Qualifying Participant can only win once during the Competition Period.
Prize cannot be exchanged for cash or any other currency.
If for any reason, the Competition cannot run as planned because of date availability any technical failures, vehicle problems, unauthorised intervention, computer virus, mobile network failure, tampering, fraud or any other causes beyond our control which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Competition, we reserve the right to cancel, terminate, modify, suspend or cancel the Competition and/or to disqualify any individual who (whether directly or indirectly) causes (or has caused) the problem.
Mukuru may vary the terms of or cancel the Competition at any time. Mukuru may vary or cancel the Competition at any time without any liability to any person involved directly or indirectly in the Competition.
Mukuru cannot be held liable for any type of loss, expense, or damage to any person participating in the Competition, and any guarantees or warranties issued by the merchant as the owner of this Prize will release Mukuru of any liability should there be any discrepancies with the Prize outside Mukuru’s control.
Neither Mukuru nor its agents shall be responsible for any loss or misdirected entries, including entries that were not received due to any failure of hardware, software, or other computer or technical systems affecting the participating and/or prize redemption process of the Competition.
A failure by Mukuru to enforce any one of the terms and conditions in any instance(s) will not give rise to any claim or right of action by any Qualifying Participant or winner. If Mukuru does not enforce a provision, this will not mean that Mukuru has given up on or lost any rights.
These Competition Terms and Conditions are governed by and determined in accordance with the laws of South Africa.
