Terms & Conditions for the Back to School Campaign
Introduction
The Back to School Campaign (“the Campaign”) is being run by Mukuru Africa (Pty) Ltd (Company Registration number 2013/003424/07) (“Mukuru”) from 4 January 2021 until 30 January 2021 (“the Campaign Period”) subject to these specific terms and conditions and the general terms and conditions for competitions which can be found at www.mukuru.com (“Competition Ts & Cs”).
By entering the Campaign, you confirm that you have read and agree to be legally bound by the Campaign Ts & Cs.

Competition Entry Requirements:
In order to qualify for the Campaign you must:
be a registered Mukuru Customer;
send money to your chosen recipient using the Mukuru Service during the Campaign Period; and
Abide by the Competition Ts&Cs.
There is no minimum send amount so every order created and paid for on that particular day will be entered into the draw.
You agree, that if you are selected as a winner, that Mukuru may announce you as the winner, using your name and a photo of you, on our media platforms (including on our website, social media channels, email and in our monthly newsletter).
Mukuru Customers who fulfil the requirements of clause 2 above will be referred to as “Qualifying Participants” for the purposes of the Campaign.
The Reward
Each Qualifying Entrant will be entered into the draw where one winner will be chosen each day.
The winner will receive school fees for their child for a year, to the value specified in clause 3.3 below. Each winner will receive his/her Prize in the official currency of the country in which the winner’s bank account is located.
Zimbabwe – $350 (three hundred and fifty United States Dollars);
Botswana – P3 500 (three thousand five hundred Pula); and
United Kingdom / European Union – £250 (two hundred and fifty Pounds).
Due to fluctuating exchange rates the Prize value in one country may differ from the Prize value in another country at any given time. Winners accept that they will not be entitled to any difference in Prize value.
Collecting your Prize
Winners will be contacted by phone and announced daily on Facebook.
If Mukuru is unable to contact the winner and the Prize cannot be transferred to the winner within 4 (four) days, then the Prize will be forfeited.
The Prize money will be transferred to the winner’s nominated bank account.
General
Mukuru employees will not be allowed to enter the Campaign.
If for any reason, the Campaign cannot run as planned because of any technical failures, unauthorised intervention, computer virus, mobile network failure, tampering, fraud or any other causes beyond our control which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Campaign, we reserve the right to cancel, terminate, modify, suspend or cancel the Campaign and/or to disqualify any individual who (whether directly or indirectly) causes (or has caused) the problem.
Mukuru may vary the terms of or cancel the Campaign at any time. Mukuru may vary or cancel the Campaign at any time without any liability to any person involved directly or indirectly in the Campaign.
Mukuru cannot be held liable for any loss, expense or damage to any person participating in the Campaign.
A failure by Mukuru to enforce any one of the terms and conditions in any instance(s) will not give rise to any claim or right of action by any Qualifying Entrant. If Mukuru does not enforce a provision, this will not mean that Mukuru has given up on or lost any rights.
Mukuru will not assume any liability to any participant, or Qualifying Entrant in connection with or arising out of the Campaign however it is caused, including for any costs, expenses, forfeited prizes, damages and other liabilities
These Campaign Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of South Africa.
