Terms & Conditions for Mukuru Card Top up Competition

  1. Introduction
    1. The Mukuru Card Top up Competition (“the Competition”) is being run by Mukuru Financial Services (Pty) Ltd (Company Registration number 2008/025860/07 and FSP license number 45517) (“Mukuru”) from  25 July 2023 to 31 July 2023 (“the Competition Period”) subject to these specific terms and conditions and the general terms and conditions for competitions and Competitions which can be found at www.mukuru.com (“Competition Ts & Cs”). 
    2. By participating in the Competition, you confirm that you have read and agree to be legally bound by the Competition Ts & Cs.

  2. Competition Entry Requirements
    1. To qualify to participate in the Competition, you must:
      1. Be a registered South African Mukuru Customer; and 
      2. Load any amount of money onto your existing Mukuru Card during the Competition Period.
    2. Persons who fulfil the requirements of clause 2.1 above will be referred to as “Qualifying Participants” for the purposes of the Competition.
  3. The Reward
    1. All Qualifying Participants will be entered into a random draw to stand a chance to win double the amount of money they loaded onto their Mukuru Card as detailed in 2.1.2, up to the maximum prize value of R1000 (“the Prize”).
    2. There will be a total of 5 (five) winners.
    3. The winners’ prize will be paid into the winners’ Mukuru Card no later than 7 (seven) days from date of end of the Competition Period.
    4. Winners will be contacted via SMS and informed that they have won.
  4. General
    1. Mukuru employees will not be allowed to enter the Competition. 
    2. Qualifying Participants must be 18 years or older.
    3. Qualifying Participants cannot participate in the Competition more than once.
    4. If for any reason, the Competition cannot run as planned because of any technical failures, unauthorised intervention, computer virus, mobile network failure, stock unavailability, tampering, fraud or any other causes beyond our control which corrut or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Competition, we reserve the right to cancel, terminate, modify, suspend or cancel the Competition and/or to disqualify any individual who (whether directly or indirectly) causes (or has caused) the problem. 
    5. Mukuru may vary the terms of or cancel the Competition at any time. Mukuru may vary or cancel the Competition at any time without any liability to any person involved directly or indirectly in the Competition. 
    6. Mukuru cannot be held liable for any loss, expense or damage to any person participating in the Competition.
    7. A failure by Mukuru to enforce any one of the terms and conditions in any instance(s) will not give rise to any claim or right of action by any Qualifying Participant. If Mukuru does not enforce a provision, this will not mean that Mukuru has given up on or lost any rights.
    8. Mukuru will not assume any liability to any participant, or Qualifying Participant in connection with or arising out of the Competition however it is caused, including for any costs, expenses, forfeited rewards, damages and other liabilities 
    9. These Competition Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of South Africa.
