Terms & Conditions for the Lesotho Send Promotion

  1. Introduction
    1. The Lesotho Send Promotion (“the Promotion”) is being run by Mukuru Africa (Pty) Ltd (Company Registration number 2013/003424/07) (“Mukuru”) from 22 January 2020 until 9 February 2020 (“the Promotion Period”) subject to these specific terms and conditions and the general terms and conditions for Promotions which can be found at www.mukuru.com (“Competition Ts & Cs”). 
    2. By entering the Promotion, you confirm that you have read and agree to be legally bound by the Promotion Ts & Cs.

  2. Promotion Entry Requirements: 
    1. In order to enter the Promotion, you must:
      1. send money to your chosen recipient in Lesotho using the Mukuru Service during the Promotion Period.  
    2. Persons who fulfil the requirements of clause 2.1 above will be referred to as “Qualifying Entrants” for the purposes of the Promotion.
  3. The Reward 
    1. Each Qualifying Entrant will be entered into the draw. 
    2. One winner will be randomly selected.  The winner will win R1000 (one thousand Rand) in cash “the Prize”. 
  4. Collecting your Prize 
    1. The winner will be notified by telephone and will be announced on Facebook.
    2. If Mukuru is unable to contact the winner and the Prize cannot be transferred to the winner within 4 (four) days, then the Prize will be forfeited. 
  5. General 
    1. Mukuru employees will not be allowed to enter the Promotion. 
    2. If for any reason, the Promotion cannot run as planned because of any technical failures, unauthorised intervention, computer virus, mobile network failure, tampering, fraud or any other causes beyond our control which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Promotion, we reserve the right to cancel, terminate, modify, suspend or cancel the Promotion and/or to disqualify any individual who (whether directly or indirectly) causes (or has caused) the problem.
    3. Mukuru may vary the terms of or cancel the Promotion at any time. Mukuru may vary or cancel the Promotion at any time without any liability to any person involved directly or indirectly in the Promotion.  
    4. Mukuru cannot be held liable for any loss, expense or damage to any person participating in the Promotion.
    5. A failure by Mukuru to enforce any one of the terms and conditions in any instance(s) will not give rise to any claim or right of action by any Qualifying Entrant. If Mukuru does not enforce a provision, this will not mean that Mukuru has given up on or lost any rights.
    6. Mukuru will not assume any liability to any participant, or Qualifying Entrant in connection with or arising out of the Promotion however it is caused, including for any costs, expenses, forfeited prizes, damages and other liabilities. 
    7. These Promotion Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of South Africa.
