1. Introduction 
    1. The Mukuru Card Competition (“the Competition”) is being run by Mukuru Africa (Pty) Ltd (Company Registration number 2013/003424/07) (“Mukuru”) from 1 April 2022 to 30 April 2022 (“the Competition Period”) subject to these specific terms and conditions and the general terms and conditions for Competitions and Competitions which can be found at www.mukuru.com (“Competition Ts & Cs”).  
    2. By participating in the Competition, you confirm that you have read and agree to be legally bound by the Competition Ts & Cs.

  2. Competition Entry Requirements:  
    1. To qualify to participate in the Competition, you must:
      1. be a Mukuru Customer; and 
      2. reside in South Africa; and 
      3. send: 
        1. a transaction amount of your choosing to a recipient of your choosing;
        2. using the Mukuru Service; and
        3. pay for your order from your Mukuru Card; 
        4. during the Competition Period (“Qualifying Transaction”). 
    2. Persons who fulfil the requirements of clause 2.1 above will be referred to as “Qualifying Participants” for the purposes of the Competition
  3. The Competition 
    1. There will be a daily winner for the duration of the Competition Period.
    2. Each day of the month all the Qualifying Participant who completed a successful Mukuru order on that day will be entered into a random draw (and one winner will be chosen) to win back their most recent remittance amount, up to a maximum value of R1000 (One Thousand Rand). For example, should a Qualifying Participant be drawn as the winner for the day and the Qualifying Participant’s most recent order is valued at R700, then the Qualifying Participant will win R700. Should the Qualifying Participant have sent for example R1400 then the Qualifying Participant will win R1000 (being the maximum amount).
    3. Should the winning Qualifying Participant also have successfully signed up and activated Mukuru Funeral Over during the Competition Period, the Qualifying Participant will win double the value of his/her most recent order. For example, should a Qualifying Participant be drawn as the winner for the day and the Qualifying Participant’s most recent order is valued at R700, then the Qualifying Participant will win a total of R1400.
    4. Mukuru will contact the winners telephonically or via SMS within 72 (Seventy two) hours and may also announce the winners on Facebook weekly.
    5. Prizes will be paid to the winner’s Mukuru Card within 7 (seven) working days from date of winning.
  4. General
    1. Participants must be 18 years or older. 
    2. If for any reason, the Competition cannot run as planned because of any technical failures, unauthorised intervention, computer virus, mobile network failure, tampering, fraud or any other causes beyond our control which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Competition, we reserve the right to cancel, terminate, modify, suspend or cancel the Competition and/or to disqualify any individual who (whether directly or indirectly) causes (or has caused) the problem.
    3. Mukuru may vary the terms of or cancel the Competition at any time. Mukuru may vary or cancel the Competition at any time without any liability to any person involved directly or indirectly in the Competition.  
    4. Mukuru cannot be held liable for any loss, expense or damage to any person participating in the Competition. 
    5. A failure by Mukuru to enforce any one of the terms and conditions in any instance(s) will not give rise to any claim or right of action by any Participant. If Mukuru does not enforce a provision, this will not mean that Mukuru has given up on or lost any rights. 
    6. Mukuru will not assume any liability to any Participant in connection with or arising out of the Competition (including the use of any product made available under the Competition) however it is caused, including for any costs, expenses, damages and other liabilities.  
    7. These Competition Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of South Africa.
