The Mukuru Door Activation Competition (“the Competition”) is being run by Mukuru Africa (Pty) Ltd (Company Registration number 2013/003424/07) trading as Mukuru (“Mukuru”) from 1 June 2022 to 8 July 2022 (“the Competition Period”) subject to these specific terms and conditions and the general terms and conditions for competitions which can be found at www.mukuru.com (“Competition Ts & Cs”)
By participating in the Competition, you and the recipient confirm that you have both read and agree to be legally bound by the Competition Ts & Cs (as may be applicable).

Competition Entry Requirements:
In order to qualify for entry into the Competition:
You must be a registered Mukuru Customer in South Africa (as defined by Mukuru);
You must attend at one of the locations on one of the dates stipulated below: .
Cape Town
Fri 3 June- Bellville: Middestad Mall.
Sat 4 June- Gugulethu: Gugulethu Square
Fri 10 June- Long street and Green Market Square
Sat 11 June- Kraaifontein: Cape Gape Mall
Fri 17 June- Khayelitsha: Khayelitsha Mall
Johannesburg
Fri 24 June- Braamfontein: Park Station
Sat 25 June- Kempton Park: Festival Mall
Fri 1 July- Hillbrow: Highpoint Centre
Sat 2 July- Tembisa: Phumulani Mall
Fri 8 July- Honeydew: Blueberry Square
You must locate one of the Mukuru doors at one of the locations detailed in 2.1.2 above, step inside and take a selfie;
You must post the selfie on Instagram, using the hashtag #Unleashingpossibilities; and
You must abide by all the Competition Ts and Cs.
Mukuru must process your personal information to validate your entry and if you are a winner, to make the Prize available to you. By entering the Competition, you consent to us processing your personal information for this purpose. If you do not consent, please do not enter the Competition.
Participants who fulfil the requirements of clause 2.1 above will be referred to as “Qualifying Participants” for the purposes of the Competition.
The Prize
All Qualifying Participants will be entered into a random draw to win one of four (4) instant prizes of R500 (five hundred Rand) cash on the day that they attend at one of the doors at the locations detailed in clause 2.1.2. There will be four (4) instant prizes per location, thus a total of 40 instant prizes during the Competition Period.
All instant prizes will be awarded to the winners in cash on the day.
Grand prize
All Qualifying Participants will be entered into the draw to win the Grand Prize.
The Prize consists of the following:
Return flight tickets (economy class on a carrier of Mukuru’s choice) for you and a friend from South Africa to your home country OR return flight tickets (economy class on a carrier of Mukuru’s choice) for one (1) friend or family member from your home country to South Africa, on dates to be confirmed with Mukuru, but which dates need to be during 2022;
Spending money, to be determined based on the cost of the return flight tickets. The full value of the Grand Prize is R70 000 (seventy thousand Rand). Thus if the flight tickets cost R50 000 then the spending money would be R20 000. Spending money will be deposited into the winner’s South African bank account only.
Exclusions: all expenses not expressly listed in clause 3.4 above. The winner or chosen third party will be solely responsible for all such expenses.
Winners will be announced on Facebook and contacted telephonically on the 15th July 2022. If a winner cannot be contacted within seven (7) days, the winner will forfeit the Prize.
General
Mukuru employees will not be allowed to enter the Competition.
Qualifying Participants must be 18 years or older.
A Qualifying Participant can only win once during the Competition Period.
If the winner is not fully vaccinated and/or does not have a negative covid test as required by the airline or country of entry and exit, Mukuru cannot guarantee that the winner or the chosen third party will be able to make use of the Grand Prize in full or in part and Mukuru disclaims all liability in this regard.
The winner or chosen third party of the Grand Prize needs to hold a valid passport.
Mukuru cannot guarantee that the winner of the Grand Prize will be able to enter into the country of choice and disclaims all liability in this regard.
If for any reason, the Competition cannot run as planned because of any technical failures, unauthorised intervention, computer virus, mobile network failure, tampering, fraud or any other causes beyond our control which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Competition, we reserve the right to cancel, terminate, modify, suspend or cancel the Competition and/or to disqualify any individual who (whether directly or indirectly) causes (or has caused) the problem.
Mukuru may vary the terms of or cancel the Competition at any time. Mukuru may vary or cancel the Competition at any time without any liability to any person involved directly or indirectly in the Competition.
Mukuru cannot be held liable for any type of loss, expense or damage to any person participating in the Competition.
Neither Mukuru nor its agents shall be responsible for any loss or misdirected entries, including entries that were not received due to any failure of hardware, software, or other computer or technical systems affecting participating and/or prize redemption process of the Competition.
A failure by Mukuru to enforce any one of the terms and conditions in any instance(s) will not give rise to any claim or right of action by any Qualifying Entrant or winner. If Mukuru does not enforce a provision, this will not mean that Mukuru has given up on or lost any rights.
Mukuru will not assume any liability to any participant, Qualifying Participant, or prize winner in connection with or arising out of the Competition however it is caused, including for any costs, expenses, forfeited prizes, damages and other liabilities
These Competition Terms and Conditions are governed by and determined in accordance with the laws of South Africa
