Terms & Conditions for the Back to School Competition

  1. Introduction
    1. The Back to School Competition (“the Competition”) is being run by Remitix Limited (Company Registration number 5270734) trading as Mukuru (“Mukuru”) from 13 January 2020 to 30 January 2020 (“the Competition Period”) subject to these specific terms and conditions and the general terms and conditions for Competitions which can be found at www.remitix.com (“Competition Ts & Cs”)  https://www.mukuru.com/en-uk/Competition-terms-conditions/ 
    2. By participating in the Competition, you confirm that you have read and agree to be legally bound by these terms as well as the Competition Ts & Cs (as may be applicable).

  1. Competition Participation Requirements: 
    1. To qualify to participate in the Competition:
      1. You must be a registered United Kingdom Mukuru Customer (as defined by Mukuru);
      2. You must send money from the United Kingdom to your chosen recipient using the Mukuru Service during the Competition Period; and
      3. abide by all applicable Ts & Cs.
    2. Mukuru Customers who fulfil the requirements of clause 2.1 above will be referred to as “Qualifying Participants” for the purposes of the Competition.
  1. Winners Selection
    1. Each Qualifying Participant will be entered into the draw. Two winners will be announced, one winner will be announced on 23 January 2020 and one winner will be announced on 30 January 2020. Winners will be randomly selected.
    2. A Qualifying Participant will receive an extra entry if the Qualifying Participant shares applicable competition posts from Mukuru UK’s facebook page.
  1. Announcement of winners 
    1. Each winner will be notified by telephone and will be announced on Facebook.
    2. If Mukuru is not able to reach the winner within 3 days of the winner selection, then the prize will be forfeited. 
  1. The Prize(s) 
    1. Each winner will receive £350 (three hundred and fifty Pounds):
      1. to be remitted to the recipient of their choice using the Mukuru Service; or
      2. paid to the winner’s bank account.
  1. General 
    1. Mukuru employees will not be allowed to enter the Competition. 
    2. If for any reason, the Competition cannot run as planned because of any technical failures, unauthorised intervention, computer virus, mobile network failure, tampering, fraud or any other causes beyond our control which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Competition, we reserve the right to cancel, terminate, modify, suspend or cancel the Competition and/or to disqualify any individual who (whether directly or indirectly) causes (or has caused) the problem. 
    3. Mukuru may vary the terms of or cancel the Competition at any time. Mukuru may vary or cancel the Competition at any time without any liability to any person involved directly or indirectly in the Competition.
    4. Mukuru cannot be held liable for any loss, expense or damage to any person participating in the Competition.
    5. A failure by Mukuru to enforce any one of the terms and conditions in any instance(s) will not give rise to any claim or right of action by any Qualifying Participant. If Mukuru does not enforce a provision, this will not mean that Mukuru has given up on or lost any rights.
    6. Mukuru will not assume any liability to any participant or Qualifying Participant in connection with or arising out of the Competition however it is caused, including for any costs, expenses, damages and other liabilities 
    7. These Competition Terms and Conditions are governed by and determined in accordance with the laws of England.
