1. Introduction
    1. The Ozow Send and Win Competition (“the Competition”) is being run by Mukuru Africa (Pty) Ltd  (Company Registration number 2013/003424/07 trading as Mukuru (“Mukuru”) from 23 June 2021 to 7 July 2021 (“the Competition Period”) subject to these specific terms and conditions and the general terms and conditions for competitions which can be found at www.mukuru.com (“Competition Ts & Cs”)
    2. By participating in the Competition, you confirm that you have read and agree to be legally bound by the Competition Ts & Cs (as may be applicable).

  2. Competition Entry Requirements:
    1. In order to qualify for entry into the Competition you must:
      1. be a registered Mukuru Customer (as defined by Mukuru);
      2. send money from South Africa to your chosen recipient using the Mukuru Service during the Competition Period;
      3. pay for your Mukuru order using Ozow Instant EFT during the Competition Period.
      4. abide by all the Competition Ts and Cs.
    2. Mukuru must process your personal information to validate your entry and if you are a winner, to make the Prize available to you. By entering the Competition, you consent to us processing your personal information for this purpose. If you do not consent, please do not enter the Competition.
    3. Participants who fulfil the requirements of clause 2.1 and 2.2 above will be referred to as “Qualifying Participants” for the purposes of the Competition.
  3. Winners selection
    1. There will be one (1) random winner selected per day, from the Qualifying Participants, during the Competition Period. There will thus be a total of fifteen (15) random winners during the Competition Period.
    2. Winners will be announced every Friday during the Competition Period.
    3. Each winner will win R400 (Four Hundred Rand) (“the Prize”).
  4. Announcement of winners
    1. The winners will be contacted telephonically and will be announced on Mukuru’s social media platforms;
    2. If Mukuru is unable to contact you or the recipient within 4 (four) days, then the prize will be forfeited.
  5. Payment of Prizes
    1. For each winner, the Prize amount will be paid into the winner’s bank account or Mukuru card, upon the choice of the winner. Alternatively, the winner may choose to remit the Prize to a recipient of his/her choice in applicable countries, using the Mukuru Service.
  6. General
    1. Mukuru employees will not be allowed to enter the Competition.
    2. Qualifying Participants must be 18 years or older.
    3. Qualifying Participants cannot win more than one Prize during the Competition Period.
    4. If for any reason, the Competition cannot run as planned because of any technical failures, unauthorised intervention, computer virus, mobile network failure, tampering, fraud or any other causes beyond our control which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Competition, we reserve the right to cancel, terminate, modify, suspend or cancel the Competition and/or to disqualify any individual who (whether directly or indirectly) causes (or has caused) the problem.
    5. Mukuru may vary the terms of or cancel the Competition at any time. Mukuru may vary or cancel the Competition at any time without any liability to any person involved directly or indirectly in the Competition.
    6. Mukuru cannot be held liable for any loss, expense or damage to any person participating in the Competition
    7. Neither Mukuru  nor its agents shall be responsible for any loss or misdirected entries, including entries that were not received due to any failure of hardware, software, or other computer or technical systems affecting participating and/or prize redemption process of the Competition.
    8. A failure by Mukuru to enforce any one of the terms and conditions in any instance(s) will not give rise to any claim or right of action by any Qualifying Entrant or winner. If Mukuru does not enforce a provision, this will not mean that Mukuru has given up on or lost any rights.
    9. Mukuru will not assume any liability to any participant, Qualifying Participant, or prize winner in connection with or arising out of the Competition however it is caused, including for any costs, expenses, forfeited prizes, damages and other liabilities
    10. These Competition Terms and Conditions are governed by and determined in accordance with the laws of South Africa.
