Terms & Conditions for Mukuru App Share and Win Competition
Introduction
The Mukuru Share and Win Competition (“the Competition”) is being run by Mukuru Africa (Pty) Ltd (Company Registration number 2013/003424/07) (“Mukuru”) from 18 February 2021 until 12 March 2021 (“the Competition Period”) subject to these specific terms and conditions and the general terms and conditions for competitions which can be found at www.mukuru.com (“Competition Ts & Cs”).
By participating in the Competition, you confirm that you have read and agree to be legally bound by the Competition Ts & Cs (as may be applicable).

Competition Entry Requirements:
Every week during the Competition Period, Mukuru will send out a post (on Facebook, Twitter and/or Instagram) which contains a feature of the new Mukuru app.
In order to qualify for entry into the Competition you must:
Be 18 years or older;
Reside in one of the countries that Mukuru operates in;
Repost (share) Mukuru’s most recent post containing a feature of the new Mukuru app, as described in 2.1 above;
agree, that if you are selected as a winner, that Mukuru may announce you as the winner on all our social media platforms;
abide by all the Competition Ts and Cs.
Participants who fulfil the requirements of clause 2.1 above will be referred to as “Qualifying Participants” for the purposes of the Competition.
Winner selection and announcement dates
Ten (10) randomly selected winners from the Qualifying Participants will be selected and announced on 19 February 2021;
Ten (10) randomly selected winners from the Qualifying Participants will be selected and announced on 26 February 2021;
Ten (10) randomly selected winners from the Qualifying Participants will be selected and announced on 5 March 2021;
Ten (10) randomly selected winners from the Qualifying Participants will be selected and announced on 12 March 2021.
The Prize(s)
Each winner will receive as their prize R500 (Five Hundred Rand) in cash. The Prize will be converted (on the date on which the winners are announced) into the official currency of the country in which the winner is located.
The Prize will either be sent to the winner’s bank account or the winner may choose to remit to a recipient of his/her choice in applicable countries, using the Mukuru Service (“the Prize”).
Announcement of winners
Each winner will be announced by Mukuru via Facebook, Twitter and/or Instagram.
If Mukuru is unable to contact the winner and/or the prize cannot be transferred to the winner within 4 (four) calendar days, the prize will be forfeited and Mukuru may elect the next runner-up who qualifies under the Competition Ts & Cs as a winner.
General
Mukuru employees will not be allowed to enter the Competition.
The same winner cannot win twice during the Competition Period.
If for any reason, the Competition cannot run as planned because of any technical failures, unauthorised intervention, computer virus, mobile network failure, tampering, fraud or any other causes beyond our control which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Competition, we reserve the right to cancel, terminate, modify, suspend or cancel the Competition and/or to disqualify any individual who (whether directly or indirectly) causes (or has caused) the problem.
Mukuru may vary the terms of or cancel the Competition at any time. Mukuru may vary or cancel the Competition at any time without any liability to any person involved directly or indirectly in the Competition.
Mukuru cannot be held liable for any loss, expense or damage to any person participating in the Competition.
A failure by Mukuru to enforce any one of the terms and conditions in any instance(s) will not give rise to any claim or right of action by any Qualifying Entrant or winner. If Mukuru does not enforce a provision, this will not mean that Mukuru has given up on or lost any rights.
Mukuru will not assume any liability to any participant, Qualifying Participant, or prize winner in connection with or arising out of the Competition however it is caused, including for any costs, expenses, forfeited prizes, damages and other liabilities
These Competition Terms and Conditions are governed by and determined in accordance with the laws of South Africa.
