The Send money with Mukuru and stand a chance to Win 1 of 5 boda bodas Competition (“the Competition”) is being run by Mukuru Money Transfer Ltd (Company Registration number 200565 ) (“Mukuru”) between 25 November 2024 – 31 January 2025 (“the Competition Period”) subject to these specific terms and conditions and the general terms and conditions for competitions and Competitions which can be found at www.mukuru.com (“Competition Ts & Cs”).
By participating in the Competition, you confirm that you have read and agree to be legally bound by the Competition Ts & Cs.

Competition Entry Requirements:
To qualify to participate in the Competition, you must:
be a registered Mukuru Customer in Uganda (as defined by Mukuru);
send an international money transfer (no minimum spend) on any Mukuru platform to any country in which Mukuru operates (list available on our website); and
you must comply with these terms and conditions.
Persons who fulfil the requirements of clause 2.1 above will be referred to as “Qualifying Participants” for the purposes of the Competition.
Mukuru processes your personal information when you use the Mukuru Service. Protecting your personal information is important to Mukuru and processing is done according to our Privacy Notice. When we run competitions and you qualify for a Prize, Mukuru will need to process your personal information for additional purposes. For example, your personal information may be used to validate your entry, make the reward available to you if you are a winner and potentially share your personal information with 3rd parties (including 3rd parties in other countries) who need to know. We will ensure those 3rd parties have adequate data protection safeguards in place. Mukuru also announces the winners on social media and if this Competition includes Mukuru wanting to post photos or videos of you as a Winner on our social media, you will be asked if you agree thereto, and you have the right to withhold consent.
The Prize
All Qualifying Participants will be entered into a random draw to stand a chance of winning 1 of 5 Boda Boda motorbikes (“the Prize”).
A random draw will take place on 31 January 2025 and the Winner of the Prize set out in 3.1 will be contacted telephonically within 48 hours of the draw taking place. If Mukuru is unable to contact the winner within 3 (three) attempts over 48 hours, then the Prize will be forfeited, and the next Winner be contacted.
After Mukuru successfully contacts a Winner they are required to have the following in place before they are allowed to take ownership of the Prize:
have a valid ID or Passport at the time of the Competition; and
ensure that, when collecting the Prize, they have a valid driver’s license to operate a motor bike, or bring someone with that is able to operate one.
If a Winner fails to comply with clause 3.3, the Prize will be forfeited, and the next Winner will be contacted.
The Winners will be announced during the first week of February 2025 on the Mukuru social media channels.
The Winner will be required to collect the Prize at his/her own cost at their nearest Mukuru Branch or Information Centre, or such other place as Mukuru may make it available to the Winner from time to time.
The Winner will have 90 days to collect the Prize, or any period as determined by the supplier of the Prize. A failure to collect the Prize within this period will be seen as a forfeiture of the Prize.
General
Mukuru employees will not be allowed to enter the Competition.
Qualifying Participants must be 18 years or older.
Qualifying Participants cannot participate in the Competition if they have won any Prizes in the past 12 months.
If for any reason, the Competition cannot run as planned because of any technical failures, unauthorised intervention, computer virus, mobile network failure, stock unavailability, tampering, fraud or any other causes beyond our control that corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Competition, we reserve the right to cancel, terminate, modify, suspend or cancel the Competition and/or to disqualify any individual who (whether directly or indirectly) causes (or has caused) the problem.
The motor bike brand and type will be at the sole discretion of Mukuru and may be replace of a brand or type of similar value.
Mukuru may vary the terms of or cancel the Competition at any time. Mukuru may vary or cancel the Competition at any time without any liability to any person involved directly or indirectly in the Competition.
The Prize is not transferrable for cash or otherwise.
Mukuru cannot be held liable for any loss, expense, or damage to any person participating in the Competition. Mukuru does not endorse the Prize and the Prize is made available “as is”. Any warranties/guarantees available in respect of the Prize will be those made available by the manufacturer and Mukuru makes no warranties as to merchantability, functionality, fit-for-purpose, or quality of the Prize.
A failure by Mukuru to enforce any one of the terms and conditions in any instance(s) will not give rise to any claim or right of action by any Qualifying Participant. If Mukuru does not enforce a provision, this will not mean that Mukuru has given up on or lost any rights.
Mukuru will not assume any liability to any participant, or Qualifying Participant in connection with or arising out of the Competition however it is caused, including for any costs, expenses, forfeited rewards, damages, and other liabilities
These Competition Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Uganda
