The Mukuru Beast Birthday Competition (“the Competition”) is being run by Mukuru Money Transfer Limited (Company Registration number 120130109728) (“Mukuru”) from 25 August 2022 to 31 August 2022 (“the Competition Period”) subject to these specific terms and conditions and the general terms and conditions for competitions and competitions which can be found at www.mukuru.com (“Competition Ts & Cs”). .
By participating in the Competition, you confirm that you have read and agree to be legally bound by the Competition Ts & Cs.

Competition Entry Requirements:
In order to enter the Competition, you must:
be a registered Mukuru customer;
follow Mukuru on Facebook or Instagram;
comment on Beast’s applicable Facebook or Instagram post during the Competition Period with how #Mukuru has made sending or receiving money easier for you and your loved ones;
not have a private account on Instagram or Facebook (as Mukuru will not be able to contact you)
Persons who fulfil the requirements of any one of the posts set out in clause 2.1 above will be referred to as “Qualifying Participants” for the purposes of the Competition.
Mukuru and must process your personal information to validate your entry and if you are a winner, to make the Prize available to you. By entering the Competition, you consent to us processing your personal information for this purpose. If you do not consent, please do not enter the Competition.
Winner selection and prizes
Five (5) random Qualifying Participant who commented on Beast’s Facebook post, and another five (5) random Qualifying Participant who commented on Beast’s Instagram post (thus 10 winners in total) will be selected during the Competition Period by adding up all the Qualifying Participants across all the following corridors: South Africa, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Malawi, UK and Lesotho.
If a Zambian-based winner is randomly selected to win a prize, such winner will win K371 (Three hundred and Seventy One Zambian Kwacha) in cash (“the prize”).
Winners will be randomly selected on 2 September 2022 and announced once via Facebook and once via Instagram. Winners will be sent a message via Facebook or Instagram and will be required to send their contact details to Mukuru to enable Mukuru to pay over the prize to the winners. Winners who have not sent their details to Mukuru within seven (7) days from date of being contacted will forfeit the prize.
Mukuru will create a Mukuru Order to the winner within seven (7) working days from the date that Mukuru receives the details from the winner.
Mukuru employees, directors, agents, contractors, consultants will not be allowed to enter the competition.
Qualifying Participant must be 18 years or older.
A Qualifying Participant cannot win more than once during the competition period.
If for any reason, the Competition cannot run as planned because of any technical failures, unauthorised intervention, computer virus, mobile network failure, tampering, fraud or any other causes beyond our control which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Competition, Mukuru reserve the right to cancel, terminate, modify, suspend or cancel the Competition and/or to disqualify any individual who (whether directly or indirectly) causes (or has caused) the problem.
Mukuru may vary the terms of or cancel the Competition at any time. Mukuru may vary or cancel the Competition at any time without any liability to any person involved directly or indirectly in the Competition.
Mukuru cannot be held liable for any loss, expense or damage to any person participating in the Competition.
Neither Mukuru nor its agents shall be responsible for any loss or misdirected entries, including entries that were not received due to any failure of hardware, software, or other computer or technical systems affecting participating and/or prize redemption process of the Competition.
A failure by Mukuru to enforce any one of the terms and conditions in any instance(s) will not give rise to any claim or right of action by any Qualifying Entrant. If Mukuru does not enforce a provision, this will not mean that Mukuru has given up on or lost any rights.
Mukuru will not assume any liability to any participant, or Qualifying Entrant in connection with or arising out of the Competition or Prize however it is caused, including for any costs, expenses, forfeited rewards, damages and other liabilities.
These Competition Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Zambia.
