Terms & Conditions for the Mukuru Win a Meal Campaign

  1. Introduction 
    1. The Mukuru Win a Meal Campaign (“the Campaign”) is being run by Mukuru Money Transfer Limited  (Company Registration number 13982) (“Mukuru”) from 1 July 2023 to 8 August 2023 (“the Campaign Period”) subject to these specific terms and conditions and the general terms and conditions for Campaigns and Campaigns which can be found at www.mukuru.com (“Campaign Ts & Cs”). 
    2. By participating in the Campaign, you confirm that you have read and agree to be legally bound by the Campaign Ts & Cs.

  2. Campaign Entry Requirements
    1. In order to enter the Campaign, you must:
      1. be a registered Zambia Mukuru Customer residing in either Lusaka or Copperbelt; and
      2. send at least K1000 (One Thousand Zambian Kwacha) from any of the participating Mukuru Orange booths and branches to your chosen recipient in Nigeria, using the Mukuru Service during the Campaign Period. All participating booths and branches are available here: https://bit.ly/3CWD0Lp; and
      3. comply with these Ts & Cs. 
    2. Persons who fulfil the requirements of clause 2.1 above will be referred to as “Qualifying Participants” for the purposes of the Campaign.
    3. Mukuru must process your personal information to validate your entry and if you are a winner, to make the Prize available to you. By entering the Campaign, you consent to us processing your personal information for this purpose. If you do not consent, please do not enter the Campaign.
  3. Winner selection and prizes
    1. The first 25 (twenty five) Qualifying Participants will each receive a meal voucher from Tasty Bite Restaurants worth K140 (One hundred and forty Zambian Kwacha). All other costs associated with the use of the voucher (for example transport costs) are for the Qualifying Participant’s account.
    2. The Qualifying Participant must redeem the meal voucher between 1 July 2023 and 31 August 2023 at either Tasty Bite restaurants in Lusaka: inside Comesa Village, Showgrounds OR Kitwe: Nkana East Kantata Street Plot 104.
    3. The Qualifying Participant must pick one meal –  either Egusi soup with Nshima OR Jollof – Rice with Chicken and one drink either (Coke, Fanta, Water or any beverage within the K20 limit).
    4. No takeaways are allowed. The voucher is only for a sit down meal.
    5. The Qualifying Participant is responsible for taking care of his/her voucher. Mukuru cannot be held liable for any lost or stolen vouchers and will not replace them.
    6. Vouchers not redeemed by 31 August 2023 will become null and void ( no longer valid).
  4. General 
    1. Mukuru employees, directors, agents, contractors, consultants will not be allowed to enter the Campaign.
    2. Qualifying Entrants must be 18 years or older.
    3. The prize cannot be exchanged for cash.
    4. If for any reason, the Campaign cannot run as planned because of any technical failures, unauthorised intervention, computer virus, mobile network failure, tampering, fraud or any other causes beyond our control which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Campaign, Mukuru reserve the right to cancel, terminate, modify, suspend or cancel the Campaign and/or to disqualify any individual who (whether directly or indirectly) causes (or has caused) the problem. 
    5. Mukuru may vary the terms of or cancel the Campaign at any time. Mukuru may vary or cancel the Campaign at any time without any liability to any person involved directly or indirectly in the Campaign. 
    6. Mukuru cannot be held liable for any loss, expense or damage to any person participating in the Campaign.
    7. Neither Mukuru nor its agents shall be responsible for any loss or misdirected entries, including entries that were not received due to any failure of hardware, software, or other computer or technical systems affecting participating and/or prize redemption process of the Campaign.
    8. A failure by Mukuru to enforce any one of the terms and conditions in any instance(s) will not give rise to any claim or right of action by any Qualifying Entrant. If Mukuru does not enforce a provision, this will not mean that Mukuru has given up on or lost any rights.
    9. Mukuru will not assume any liability to any participant, or Qualifying Entrant in connection with or arising out of the Campaign or Prize however it is caused, including for any costs, expenses, forfeited rewards, damages and other liabilities.
    10. These Campaign Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Zambia.
