Terms & Conditions for the Mukuru Win a Meal Campaign

  1. Introduction
    1. The Mukuru Get a Free Meal at Yan’z Pastry (“the Campaign”) is being run by Mukuru Money Transfer Limited  (Company Registration number 13982) (“Mukuru”) from 23 October 2023 to 23 November 2023 (“the Campaign Period”) subject to these specific terms and conditions in line with the general terms and conditions for Campaigns and Campaigns which can be found at www.mukuru.com (“Campaign T’s & C’s”). 
    2. By participating in the Campaign, you confirm that you have read and agree to be legally bound by the Campaign T’s & C’s.

  2. Campaign Entry Requirements:
    1. In order to enter the Campaign, you must:
      1. be a registered Zambia Mukuru Customer residing in Copperbelt; and
      2. send at least K2000 (Two Thousand Zambian Kwacha) from any of the participating Mukuru Orange Booths and Branches to your chosen recipient in Somalia, using the Mukuru Service during the Campaign Period. All participating booths and branches are available here; and
      3. comply with these Campaign T’s & C’s. 
    2. Persons who fulfil the requirements of clause 2.1 above will be referred to as “Qualifying Participants” for the purposes of the Campaign.
    3. Mukuru must process your personal information to validate your entry and if you are a winner, to make the Prize available to you. By entering the Campaign, you consent to us processing your personal information for this purpose only. If you do not consent, please do not enter the Campaign.
  3. Winner selection and prizes
    1. The first 30 (thirty) Qualifying Participants, that will be selected randomly, will each receive a meal voucher from Yan’z Pastry worth K200 (Two Hundred Zambian Kwacha). This meal voucher will consist of 1 (one) free meal and 1 (one) free drink. The options available to Qualifying Participants will be the following:
      1. Japati, goat/liver, white tea and bottle of water;
      2. Rice, goat meat, fresh orange juice and a banana;or
      3. Pasta, chicken with a  milkshake.
    2. All other costs associated with the use of the voucher (for example transport costs) are for the Qualifying Participant’s account.
    3. Upon completion of a transaction in excess of K2000, the Qualifying Participant will be informed by the teller, or any other authorised member of staff, that they have won and will be given the meal voucher and instructions on how to redeem it. 
    4. The Qualifying Participant must redeem the meal voucher between 23 October 2023 and 30 November 2023 at Yan’z Pastry in Ndeke Road, Ndola.
    5. No takeaways are allowed. The voucher is only for a sit-down meal.
    6. The Qualifying Participant is responsible for taking care of his/her voucher. Mukuru cannot be held liable for any lost, duplicated, or stolen vouchers and will not replace them.
    7. Vouchers not redeemed by 30 November 2023 will no longer be accepted.
  4. General
    1. Mukuru employees, directors, agents, contractors, and consultants will not be allowed to enter the Campaign.      
    2. Participants can have multiple entries should they comply with Clause 2.
    3. Qualifying Entrants must be 18 years or older.
    4. The meal voucher cannot be exchanged for cash.
    5. If for any reason, the Campaign cannot run as planned because of any technical failures, unauthorised intervention, computer virus, mobile network failure, tampering, fraud or any other causes beyond our control that corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Campaign, Mukuru reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify, suspend or cancel the Campaign and/or to disqualify any individual who (whether directly or indirectly) causes (or has caused) the problem. 
    6. Mukuru may vary the terms of or cancel the Campaign at any time. Mukuru may vary or cancel the Campaign at any time without any liability to any person involved directly or indirectly in the Campaign. 
    7. Mukuru cannot be held liable for any loss, expense or damage to any person participating in the Campaign.
    8. Neither Mukuru nor its agents shall be responsible for any loss or misdirected entries, including entries that were not received due to any failure of hardware, software, or other computer or technical systems affecting participating and/or prize redemption process of the Campaign.
    9. A failure by Mukuru to enforce any one of the terms and conditions in any instance(s) will not give rise to any claim or right of action by any Qualifying Participant. If Mukuru does not enforce a provision, this will not mean that Mukuru has given up on or lost any rights.
    10. Mukuru will not assume any liability to any Participant, or Qualifying Participant in connection with or arising out of the Campaign or meal voucher however it is caused, including for any costs, expenses, forfeited rewards, damages and other liabilities.
    11. These Campaign Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Zambia.
