Terms & Conditions for the Mukuru Zimbabwe DMT  Campaign

  1. Introduction
    1. The Mukuru Zimbabwe DMTCampaign (“the Campaign”) is being run by Send Money Home Private Limited  (Company Registration number 1446/2012)   (“Mukuru”) between 4 – 31 January 2024 (“the Campaign Period”) subject to these specific terms and conditions and the general terms and conditions for Campaigns and Campaigns which can be found at www.mukuru.com (“Campaign Ts & Cs”).  
    2. By participating in the Campaign, you confirm that you have read and agree to be legally bound by the Campaign Ts & Cs.

  2. Campaign Entry Requirements:
    1. To qualify to participate in the Campaign, you must:
      1. be a registered Mukuru Customer in Zimbabwe (as defined by Mukuru); and
      2. send a minimum of USD5 (Five US Dollars) or more to a recipient of your choice in Zimbabwe, during each week of the Campaign Period to qualify for a weekly Prize; and
      3. you must comply with these terms and conditions.
    2. Persons who fulfill the requirements of clause 2.1 above will be referred to as “Qualifying Participants” for the Campaign.
    3. Mukuru processes your personal information when you use the Mukuru Service. Protecting your personal information is important to Mukuru and processing is done according to our Privacy Notice. When we run competitions and you qualify for a Prize, Mukuru will need to process your personal information for additional purposes.  For example, your personal information may be used to validate your entry, make the reward available to you if you are a winner and potentially share your personal information with 3rd parties (including 3rd parties in other countries) who have a need to know.  We will ensure those 3rd parties have adequate data protection safeguards in place. Mukuru also announces the winners on social media.   If the Competition includes Mukuru wanting to post photos of you as a winner on social media, you will be asked if you agree thereto.  
  3. The Prize
    1. All Qualifying Participants will be entered into a random draw to stand a chance of winning their share of a total of USD6400 (Six thousand Four Hundred US Dollars).
    2. Qualifying Participants will each receive 1 (one) entry into the weekly random draw for every send of USD5 or more during the relevant week.
    3. A weekly random draw will take place on 11 January, 18 January, 25 January, and 1 February 2024 (thus four draws in total) where 21 (twenty-one) Weekly Winners will be announced per weekly random draw.
    4. Weekly Winners will stand a chance to win one of the below Prizes:

    5. The Weekly Winners of the Prizes set out in clause 3 will be contacted telephonically within 48 hours of winning and will also be announced on the local Mukuru Facebook Page weekly. If Mukuru is unable to contact the Weekly Winner within 3 (three) attempts over 7 (seven) days, the Prize will be forfeited and the next person will be contacted.
    6. Winners will be required to share their preferred location for purposes of issuing the Prizes that are not cash Prizes as per clause 3.4 and 3.8.
    7. All cash Prizes will be sent via a Mukuru DMT Order to the account the Winner used in terms of Clause 2.1 and may be collected at the nearest Mukuru Booth or Branch.
    8. All Prizes that are not cash, will be issued through a supplier that is situated the closest to the Winner’s location and the Winner will be required to collect the Prize from their nearest Mukuru Booth or Branch.
  4. General
    1. Mukuru employees and agents will not be allowed to enter the Campaign. 
    2. Qualifying Participants must be 18 years or older.
    3. Qualifying Participants cannot decline a Prize or negotiate a different Prize than the one allocated by the random weekly draw.
    4. If for any reason, the Campaign cannot run as planned because of any technical failures, unauthorised intervention, computer virus, mobile network failure, stock unavailability, tampering, fraud or any other causes beyond our control which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Campaign, we reserve the right to cancel, terminate, modify, suspend or cancel the Campaign and/or to disqualify any individual who (whether directly or indirectly) causes (or has caused) the problem. 
    5. Mukuru may vary the terms of or cancel the Campaign at any time. Mukuru may vary or cancel the Campaign at any time without any liability to any person involved directly or indirectly in the Campaign. 
    6. The reward is not transferrable for cash or vice versa. 
    7. Mukuru cannot be held liable for any loss, expense or damage to any person participating in the Campaign. Mukuru does not endorse the Reward and the Reward is made available “as is”. Any warranties available in respect of the Reward will be those made available by the manufacturer and Mukuru makes no warranties as to merchantability, functionality, fit-for-purpose or quality.
    8. A failure by Mukuru to enforce any one of the terms and conditions in any instance(s) will not give rise to any claim or right of action by any Qualifying Participant. If Mukuru does not enforce a provision, this will not mean that Mukuru has given up on or lost any rights.
    9. Mukuru will not assume any liability to any participant, or Qualifying Participant in connection with or arising out of the Campaign however it is caused, including for any costs, expenses, forfeited rewards, damages and other liabilities 
    10. These Campaign Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Zimbabwe.
