Terms & Conditions for the Win $10 Instantly with the Mukuru Zim Wallet Campaign

  1. Introduction
    1. The Win $10 Instantly with the Mukuru Zim Wallet Campaign (“the Campaign”) is being run by Mukuru Financial Services Zimbabwe Limited (Company Registration number 31/2024 )   (“Mukuru”) between 17 January – 28 February 2025  until Mukuru decides to end the Campaign (“the Campaign Period”) subject to these specific terms and conditions and the general terms and conditions for Campaigns and Campaigns which can be found at www.mukuru.com (“Campaign Ts & Cs”).  
    2. By participating in the Campaign, you confirm that you have read and agree to be legally bound by the Campaign Ts & Cs.

  2. Campaign Entry Requirements:
    1. To qualify to participate in the Campaign, you must:
      1. sign up for the New Mukuru Wallet by using WhatsApp (+263 867 700 9604) or USSD (*646#) during the Campaign Period; 
      2. take a screenshot of your sign-up confirmation and send it to the Star FM WhatsApp page
      3. you must comply with these terms and conditions.
    2. Persons who fulfill the requirements of clause 2.1 above will be referred to as “Qualifying Participants” for the Campaign.
    3. Mukuru processes your personal information when you use the Mukuru Service. Protecting your personal information is important to Mukuru and processing is done according to our Privacy Notice. When we run competitions or campaigns and you enter or qualify for a Prize, Mukuru will need to process your personal information for additional purposes.  For example, your personal information may be used to validate your entry, make contact with you, make the Prize available to you if you are a winner and potentially share your personal information with 3rd parties (including 3rd parties in other countries) who need to know.  We will ensure those 3rd parties have adequate data protection safeguards in place. Mukuru, or any of it’s associated partners, also announces the winners live and by entering this Campaign, you agree hereto.   If the competition/campaign includes Mukuru wanting to post photos of you as a winner on social media, you will be asked if you agree.  
  3. The Prize
    1. During each week 2 (two) Winners will each receive $10.00 (Ten US Dollars) paid into their Mukuru Wallet until the Campaign Period ends. 
    2. Presenters from Star FM will, between 16h45-16h50 on a weekly Wednesday, discuss key USPs (Unique Selling Points) of the Mukuru Wallet and ask listeners to comply with the criteria in clause 2.1.
    3. The first 2 Qualifying Participants to comply with the criteria after the USP segment aired on that specific show will be contacted live on air where they will be asked questions based on the USPs discussed during the segment.
    4. Star FM will make a total of 2 attempts to contact a Qualifying Participant during the segment between 15h00 and 18h00. If a Qualifying Participant cannot be reached the Prize will be forfeited and the next Qualifying Participant will be contacted.
    5. Each successfully contacted Qualifying Participant will be asked questions based on the USPs mentioned by the presenter at the beginning of the segment. If a Qualifying Participant answers incorrectly, the next Qualifying Participant who has submitted a screenshot will be called.
    6. The process under clause 3.4 will continue until a Qualifying Participant answers all the questions correctly, whereby they’ll be announced as the Winner of the Prize.
    7. The Prize will be loaded within 7 (seven) days of complying with clause 2. Delays in loading the Prize due to weekends and public holidays may influence this period.
    8. Winners need to identify themselves off-air by submitting proof of ID and confirmation of their Mukuru Wallet details.
  4. General
    1. Mukuru employees and agents will not be allowed to enter the Campaign. 
    2. Qualifying Participants must be 18 years or older.
    3. Qualifying Participants cannot decline a Prize or negotiate a different Prize than the one allocated.
    4. If for any reason, the Campaign cannot run as planned because of any technical failures, unauthorised intervention, computer virus, mobile network failure, stock unavailability, tampering, fraud or any other causes beyond our control which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Campaign, we reserve the right to cancel, terminate, modify, suspend or cancel the Campaign and/or to disqualify any individual who (whether directly or indirectly) causes (or has caused) the problem. 
    5. Mukuru may vary the terms of or cancel the Campaign at any time. Mukuru may vary or cancel the Campaign at any time without any liability to any person involved directly or indirectly in the Campaign. 
    6. The Prize is not transferrable for cash or vice versa. 
    7. Mukuru cannot be held liable for any loss, expense or damage to any person participating in the Campaign. Mukuru does not endorse the Reward and the Reward is made available “as is”. Any warranties available in respect of the Reward will be those made available by the manufacturer and Mukuru makes no warranties as to merchantability, functionality, fit-for-purpose or quality.
    8. A failure by Mukuru to enforce any one of the terms and conditions in any instance(s) will not give rise to any claim or right of action by any Qualifying Participant. If Mukuru does not enforce a provision, this will not mean that Mukuru has given up on or lost any rights.
    9. Mukuru will not assume any liability to any participant, or Qualifying Participant in connection with or arising out of the Campaign however it is caused, including for any costs, expenses, forfeited rewards, damages and other liabilities 
    10. These Campaign Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Zimbabwe.
