1. Introduction
    1. The Mukuru Christmas 2021 Campaign (“the Campaign”) is being run by Send Money Home Private Limited  (Company Registration number 1446/2012 trading as Mukuru (“Mukuru”) from 22 November 2021 to 2 January 2022 (“the Campaign Period”) subject to these specific terms and conditions and the general terms and conditions for Campaigns which can be found at www.mukuru.com (“Campaign Ts & Cs”)
    2. By participating in the Campaign, you confirm that you have read and agree to be legally bound by the Campaign Ts & Cs (as may be applicable).

  2. Campaign Entry Requirements:
    1. To qualify to participate in the Campaign, you must:
      1. be a registered Mukuru Customer (as defined by Mukuru);
      2. send USD70 (Seventy US Dollars) or more and send for the very first time, from Zimbabwe to your chosen recipient, using the Mukuru Service, during the Campaign Period;
      3. not have created your order at a Mukuru branch or Mukuru booth;
      4. abide by all the Campaign Ts and Cs.
    2. Mukuru must process your personal information to validate your entry and if you are a winner, to make the Prize available to you. By entering the Campaign, you consent to us processing your personal information for this purpose. If you do not consent, please do not enter the Campaign.
    3. Participants who fulfil the requirements of clause 2.1 and 2.2 above will be referred to as “Qualifying Participants” for the purposes of the Campaign.
  3. Winners selection
    1. There will be a total of one thousand and thirty nine (1039) random winners, selected from the Qualifying Participants, during the Campaign Period.
    2. Winners will be announced on the day of the draw. Details of the draw dates are set out in 3.4 below.
    3. All Qualifying Participants will be automatically entered into the applicable random draw detailed in clause 3.2 (once, on the date of the transaction detailed in 2.1.2). All Qualifying Participants will stand a chance to win their share of USD20 000 (Twenty Thousand US Dollars).
    4. The Prizes will be broken up as follows:

  1. Announcement of winners
    1. The winners will be contacted telephonically and will be announced on Mukuru’s social media platforms;
    2. If Mukuru is unable to contact you within 7 (seven) days, then the prize will be forfeited.
  2. Payment of Prizes
    1. Cash prizes: Within 30 (thirty) days of announcement of the winners, Mukuru will create the applicable orders, which can be collected at any Mukuru payout partner, in the name of the winners’ recipients and notify the recipients accordingly.
    2. Airtime Prizes: The airtime will be sent directly to the Qualifying Participant’s phone no later than 7 (seven) days after the end of the Campaign Period.
  3. General
    1. Mukuru employees will not be allowed to enter the Campaign.
    2. Qualifying Participants must be 18 years or older.
    3. A Qualifying Participant cannot win more than once.
    4. If for any reason, the Campaign cannot run as planned because of any technical failures, unauthorised intervention, computer virus, mobile network failure, tampering, fraud or any other causes beyond our control which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Campaign, we reserve the right to cancel, terminate, modify, suspend or cancel the Campaign and/or to disqualify any individual who (whether directly or indirectly) causes (or has caused) the problem.
    5. Mukuru may vary the terms of or cancel the Campaign at any time. Mukuru may vary or cancel the Campaign at any time without any liability to any person involved directly or indirectly in the Campaign.
    6. Mukuru cannot be held liable for any loss, expense or damage to any person participating in the Campaign.
    7. Neither Mukuru  nor its agents shall be responsible for any loss or misdirected entries, including entries that were not received due to any failure of hardware, software, or other computer or technical systems affecting participating and/or prize redemption process of the Campaign.
    8. A failure by Mukuru to enforce any one of the terms and conditions in any instance(s) will not give rise to any claim or right of action by any Qualifying Entrant or winner. If Mukuru does not enforce a provision, this will not mean that Mukuru has given up on or lost any rights.
    9. Mukuru will not assume any liability to any participant, Qualifying Participant, or prize winner in connection with or arising out of the Campaign however it is caused, including for any costs, expenses, forfeited prizes, damages and other liabilities
    10. These Campaign Terms and Conditions are governed by and determined in accordance with the laws of Zimbabwe.
