Terms & Conditions for the Mukuru Zim Wallet Launch Offer Campaign

  1. Introduction
    1. The Mukuru Zim Wallet Launch Offer Campaign (“the Campaign”) is being run by Mukuru Financial Services Zimbabwe Limited (Company Registration number 31/2024 )   (“Mukuru”) between 12 January 2025 – until the target of 40000 Qualifying Participants is reached or if Mukuru decides to end the Campaign (“the Campaign Period”) subject to these specific terms and conditions and the general terms and conditions for Campaigns and Campaigns which can be found at www.mukuru.com (“Campaign Ts & Cs”).  
    2. By participating in the Campaign, you confirm that you have read and agree to be legally bound by the Campaign Ts & Cs.

  2. Campaign Entry Requirements:
    1. To qualify to participate in the Campaign, you must:
      1. sign up for the New Mukuru Wallet during the Campaign Period; 
      2. sign up by using WhatsApp (+263 867 700 9604) or USSD (*646#) ; and
      3. you must comply with these terms and conditions.
    2. Persons who fulfill the requirements of clause 2.1 above will be referred to as “Qualifying Participants” for the Campaign.
    3. Mukuru processes your personal information when you use the Mukuru Service. Protecting your personal information is important to Mukuru and processing is done according to our Privacy Notice. When we run competitions or campaigns and you enter or qualify for a Prize, Mukuru will need to process your personal information for additional purposes.  For example, your personal information may be used to validate your entry, make contact with you, make the Prize available to you if you are a winner and potentially share your personal information with 3rd parties (including 3rd parties in other countries) who need to know.  We will ensure those 3rd parties have adequate data protection safeguards in place. Mukuru also announces the winners on social media.   If the competition/campaign includes Mukuru wanting to post photos of you as a winner on social media, you will be asked if you agree thereto.
  3. The Prize
    1. The first 40,000 (Forty Thousand) Qualifying Participants who sign up for the Mukuru Wallet will each receive $1.00 (One US Dollar) on their Mukuru Wallet.
    2. The Prize will be loaded within 7 (seven) days of complying with clause 2. Delays in loading the Prize due to weekends and public holidays may influence this period.
    3. Should you not receive a Prize within 7 (seven) days of complying with clause 2, it is accepted that your entry did not qualify as the first 40,000 (Forty Thousand) Qualifying Participants who entered, alternatively, the Campaign was ended by Mukuru.
  4. General 
    1. Mukuru employees and agents will not be allowed to enter the Campaign. 
    2. Qualifying Participants must be 18 years or older.
    3. Qualifying Participants cannot decline a Prize or negotiate a different Prize than the one allocated.
    4. If for any reason, the Campaign cannot run as planned because of any technical failures, unauthorised intervention, computer virus, mobile network failure, stock unavailability, tampering, fraud or any other causes beyond our control which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Campaign, we reserve the right to cancel, terminate, modify, suspend or cancel the Campaign and/or to disqualify any individual who (whether directly or indirectly) causes (or has caused) the problem. 
    5. Mukuru may vary the terms of or cancel the Campaign at any time. Mukuru may vary or cancel the Campaign at any time without any liability to any person involved directly or indirectly in the Campaign. 
    6. The Prize is not transferrable for cash or vice versa. 
    7. Mukuru cannot be held liable for any loss, expense or damage to any person participating in the Campaign. Mukuru does not endorse the Reward and the Reward is made available “as is”. Any warranties available in respect of the Reward will be those made available by the manufacturer and Mukuru makes no warranties as to merchantability, functionality, fit-for-purpose or quality.
    8. A failure by Mukuru to enforce any one of the terms and conditions in any instance(s) will not give rise to any claim or right of action by any Qualifying Participant. If Mukuru does not enforce a provision, this will not mean that Mukuru has given up on or lost any rights.
    9. Mukuru will not assume any liability to any participant, or Qualifying Participant in connection with or arising out of the Campaign however it is caused, including for any costs, expenses, forfeited rewards, damages and other liabilities 
    10. These Campaign Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Zimbabwe.
