Terms & Conditions for Mukuru’s Zimbabwe Women’s Month Competition

  1. Introduction
    1. The Mukuru Zimbabwe Women’s Month Competition (“the Competition”) is being run by Send Money Home Private Limited  (Company Registration number 1446/2012 ) (“Mukuru”) from  15 March 2023 to 31 March 2023 (“the Competition Period”) subject to these specific terms and conditions and the general terms and conditions for competitions and Competitions which can be found at www.mukuru.com (“Competition Ts & Cs”). 
    2. By participating in the Competition, you confirm that you have read and agree to be legally bound by the Competition Ts & Cs.

  2. Competition Entry Requirements: 
    1. To qualify to participate in the Competition, you must:
      1. be a female and a registered Mukuru Customer residing in Zimbabwe (as defined by Mukuru);
      2. send a minimum of USD50 (Fifty US Dollars) to a recipient located in Zimbabwe, using the Mukuru Service, during the Competition Period;
      3. You agree to comply with these terms and conditions.
    2. Persons who fulfil the requirements of clause 2.1 above will be referred to as “Qualifying Participants” for the purposes of the Competition.
    3. Mukuru must process your personal information to validate your entry and if you are a winner, to make the Prize available to you. By entering the Competition, you consent to us processing your personal information for this purpose. If you do not consent, please do not enter the Competition.
  3. The Reward
    1. All of the applicable week’s Qualifying Participants (senders) will together be entered into a weekly random draw and will stand a chance of winning one of ten (TEN) USD100 (One Hundred US Dollars) vouchers, allocated as follows during the Competition Period:
      1. week 1 – 2 winners;
      2. week 2 – 4 winners:
      3. week 3 – 4 winners.
    2. Winners of the prizes will contacted telephonically upon winning and will also be announced via social media posts on 21 March, 28 March and 4 April 2023.
    3. If Mukuru is unable to contact the winner telephonically after three (3) tried, then the prize will be forfeited.
    4. Each of the ten (10) winners will be required to attend at a Mukuru booth or branch to collect their prize (the voucher will be in the form of a physical gift card). Mukuru will arrange with the winner at which booth or branch to pick up the card upon calling the winner. The winner must wait at least 5 (five) business days after being called before going to pick up the prize.
    5. If a winner does not attend at the Mukuru booth or branch within 30 days in order to collect the prize, the prize will be forfeited.
    6. A winner will be able to use the prize at any OK, Bon Marche, OK Mart or Spar stores in Zimbabwe (or such additional stores as may be announced on social media). The winner will be able to spend the 100 USD loaded on the gift card on anything with the applicable retail partner. The winner need not spend the full amount in one go.
  4. General 
    1. Mukuru employees will not be allowed to enter the Competition. 
    2. Qualifying Participants must be 18 years or older.
    3. Qualifying Participants can participate in the Competition once a day but cannot win more than once during the Competition Period.
    4. If for any reason, the Competition cannot run as planned because of any technical failures, unauthorised intervention, computer virus, mobile network failure, stock unavailability, tampering, fraud or any other causes beyond our control which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Competition, we reserve the right to cancel, terminate, modify, suspend or cancel the Competition and/or to disqualify any individual who (whether directly or indirectly) causes (or has caused) the problem. 
    5. Mukuru may vary the terms of or cancel the Competition at any time. Mukuru may vary or cancel the Competition at any time without any liability to any person involved directly or indirectly in the Competition. 
    6. Unless expressly specified, a prize is not transferrable for cash or otherwise. 
    7. Mukuru cannot be held liable for any loss, expense or damage to any person participating in the Competition or as a result of using a prize. 
    8. Mukuru cannot be held liable for any faults or malfunction of the grand prize as a product and any warranties are solely with the manufacturer of the product.
    9. A failure by Mukuru to enforce any one of the terms and conditions in any instance(s) will not give rise to any claim or right of action by any Qualifying Participant. If Mukuru does not enforce a provision, this will not mean that Mukuru has given up on or lost any rights.
    10. Mukuru will not assume any liability to any participant, or Qualifying Participant in connection with or arising out of the Competition or a prize however it is caused, including for any costs, expenses, forfeited rewards, damages and other liabilities 
    11. These Competition Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Zimbabwe.
