Campaign Entry Requirements:
To qualify to participate in the Campaign, you must:
be a customer (“referring customer”) of Mukuru in Lesotho;
during the Campaign Period, refer your friends or family (“referred party”) to sign up and send money with Mukuru at any Mukuru Booth or Branch within Lesotho, which will be defined as a “successful referral”.
provide the referred party with your cellphone number that’s connected to your Mukuru account ;
ensure that the referred party, when visiting the Mukuru Booth or Branch, shares your cell number as described in clause 2.1.3. in writing, and signs next to it to confirm the content.
You must comply with these terms and conditions.
Persons who fulfil the requirements of clause 2.1 above will be referred to as “Qualifying Participants” for the purposes of the Campaign.
Mukuru processes your personal information when you use the Mukuru Service. Protecting your personal information is important to Mukuru and processing is done according to our Privacy Notice. When we run Campaigns and you qualify for a reward, Mukuru will need to process your personal information for additional purposes. For example, your personal information may be used to validate your entry, make the reward available to you if you are a winner and potentially share your personal information with 3rd parties (including 3rd parties in other countries) who have a need to know. We will ensure those 3rd parties have adequate data protection safeguards in place. Mukuru also announces the winners on social media. If the Campaign includes Mukuru wanting to post photos of you as a winner on social media, you will be asked if you agree thereto.
The Reward
All Qualifying Participants will receive the following prize:
M20 (twenty Maloti) free airtime voucher (“the Prize”) valid only in Lesotho sent to the cell phone number provided by the referred party in terms of clause 2.1.3.;
1 (one) Prize will be allocated for each successful referral in terms of clause 2.1 and 2.2.
The Prize will be limited to 1 (one) per successful referral.
The Prize will be sent on or before Friday of each week during the Campaign period.
Mukuru cannot be held liable for any failure to upload the airtime which is attributable to technical failures outside of Mukuru’s control or because of a Qualifying Participant’s Mobile Operating Network rejecting the airtime load as a result of the Qualifying Participant’s particular mobile plan (for example an annual contract plan).
Mukuru will not be held liable for incorrect numbers provided by any referred party.
If airtime is not received, a Qualifying Participant can send an email to [email protected] but Mukuru cannot guarantee that airtime will be successfully loaded where there are factors outside of Mukuru’s control (such as a load rejection by a third party Mobile Operator).
Should Qualifying Participants still not have received their airtime after contacting Mukuru in terms of clause 3.7., they should visit a Branch to collect an airtime voucher, at their own expense.
General
Mukuru employees will not be allowed to enter the Campaign.
Qualifying Participants must be 18 years or older.
Any travelling that is required to and from Mukuru Booths and Branches will be at a Qualifying Participant’s own expense.
If for any reason, the Campaign cannot run as planned because of any technical failures, unauthorised intervention, computer virus, mobile network failure, stock unavailability, tampering, fraud or any other causes beyond our control which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Campaign, we reserve the right to cancel, terminate, modify, suspend or cancel the Campaign and/or to disqualify any individual who (whether directly or indirectly) causes (or has caused) the problem.
Mukuru may vary the terms of or cancel the Campaign at any time. Mukuru may vary or cancel the Campaign at any time without any liability to any person involved directly or indirectly in the Campaign.
The airtime reward is not transferable for cash or any other currency.
Mukuru cannot be held liable for any loss, expense, or damage to any person participating in the Campaign.
A failure by Mukuru to enforce any one of the terms and conditions in any instance(s) will not give rise to any claim or right of action by any Qualifying Participant. If Mukuru does not enforce a provision, this will not mean that Mukuru has given up on or lost any rights.
Mukuru will not assume any liability to any participant, or Qualifying Participant in connection with or arising out of the Campaign however it is caused, including for any costs, expenses, forfeited rewards, damages and other liabilities
These Campaign Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Lesotho.
