Terms & Conditions for the Mukuru Refer and Earn Zimbabwe Campaign  

  1. Introduction
    1. The Mukuru Refer and Earn Zimbabwe Campaign  (“the Campaign”) is run by Mukuru Financial Services Zimbabwe Limited (Company Registration Number 31/2024) (“Mukuru”) from 1 October 2025 until Mukuru decides to end the Campaign (“the Campaign Period”), subject to these specific terms and conditions (“Specific Ts & Cs”) and the general terms and conditions for Campaigns found at www.mukuru.com (“General Campaign Ts & Cs”), together the “Campaign Ts and Cs”.
    2. By participating in the Campaign, you confirm that you have read and agree to be legally bound by the Campaign Ts & Cs.

  2. Campaign Entry Requirements:
    1. To fulfil the requirements of a qualifying referral within the Campaign, you must:
      1. as a Referrer, be 18 years or older, a resident of Zimbabwe, and hold an active Mukuru Wallet that is not dormant, suspended or blocked.
      2. as the Referrer, during the Campaign Period, refer any individual who is not an existing Mukuru customer in Zimbabwe to sign up for a Mukuru Wallet using the referral link provided within 60 days of receiving the referral link sent to them via WhatsApp or SMS.
      3. as the Referee, be a Zimbabwe resident, complete KYC, and pay your first international money transfer (IMT) order of USD $50 (fifty United States dollars) or more from your Mukuru Wallet during the Campaign Period and within 60 days of receiving the referral link via WhatsApp or SMS.
      4. comply with the Campaign T’s and C’s.
        (“Successful Referral”)  
    2. Referrers have unlimited referrals, but the Campaign rewards under clause 3 will be capped at 80 (eighty) Successful Referrals per Referrer, per month, subject to the terms set out herein.
    3. Mukuru processes your personal information when you use the Mukuru service. Protecting your personal information is important to Mukuru and processing is done according to our Privacy Notice. When we run Campaigns and you qualify for a reward, Mukuru will need to process your personal information for additional purposes.  For example, your personal information may be used to validate your entry, make the reward available to you if you are a winner and potentially share your personal information with 3rd parties (including 3rd parties in other countries) who have a need to know.  We will ensure those 3rd parties have adequate data protection safeguards in place. Mukuru may also announces the winners on social media or live on broadcast air. If the Campaign includes Mukuru wanting to post photos of you as a winner on social media, you will be asked if you agree thereto.  By entering this Campaign, you consent to Mukuru processing your personal information for the purposes of validating your entry, awarding the reward, and making any related announcements regarding the Campaign.
  3. The Reward
    1. Referrers: Earn $1 automatically credited to their Mukuru Wallet for each qualifying Referral within 7 (seven) days of the Successful Referral.
    2. Referees: Earn $2 credited to their Mukuru Wallet after their first IMT remittance of USD $50 (fifty United States dollars) or more, credited within 7 (seven) days of the Successful Referral.
  4. Winner Announcement & Notification
    1. There will be no winner announcement, as this Campaign applies to all qualifying Referrals.
  5. General
    1. Referrers need to ensure that their Mukuru Wallets are in good standing to ensure that they receive their reward for each Referral.
    2. If a Referee signs up through any other means than explicitly mentioned in the terms, they will not qualify for the reward.
    3. Winners cannot decline a reward they have rightfully won or request a different reward.
    4. Mukuru reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or modify the Campaign at any time, including if technical failures, unauthorized intervention, or any other causes beyond its control affect the fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of the Campaign.
    5. If the Campaign is terminated early, any winners determined before termination will still receive their rewards, provided they have complied with the Campaign Ts and Cs.
    6. Mukuru will not be liable for any delays caused by an individual’s mobile network provider.
    7. The reward is not transferable for cash or any other item, unless otherwise stated in the Campaign Ts and Cs or agreed in writing by Mukuru.
      1. Mukuru will not be liable for any costs, damages, or losses incurred by any participant or winner in connection with this Campaign. The reward is provided “as is,” without any warranties other than those given by the original issuer (if applicable).
    8. Failure by Mukuru to enforce any of the Campaign T’s and C’s does not constitute a waiver of those terms and does not give rise to any claim by any participant.
    9. The Campaign T’s and C’s are governed by the laws of Zimbabwe. By entering the Campaign, you agree to indemnify Mukuru against any claims or liabilities arising from your participation or acceptance of a reward.
  6. Acceptance
    1. By participating in this Campaign, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by the Campaign Ts and Cs.
