How do I buy a voucher with my Mukuru Card?

You can purchase a voucher via WhatsApp, USSD and the Mukuru App

Follow these steps:
  1. Open the Mukuru App, WhatsApp, or use USSD. 
  2. Go to: Buy/Pay > Vouchers 
  3. Choose your voucher provider. 
  4. Enter the amount.
  5. Confirm the transaction with your 4-digit Mukuru Card PIN. 
    • You’ll receive your voucher PIN instantly or within 15 minutes. 
  6. If you didn’t receive your voucher PIN, you can retrieve the last 3 PINs yourself: 
    • Mukuru Card Menu > Buy/Pay > Vouchers (NEW) > View Last 3 Voucher PINs 
    • To use your voucher: Enter your voucher PIN at checkout on the retailer’s website. 

Important:
  • Check your vouchers provider’s T&Cs for limits and validity of the voucher
  • A fee of R2 applies to a purchase of a voucher, no hidden costs. You’ll always see the fee on the confirmation screen before you pay. 
  • No refunds: All vouchers are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged after purchase. 
  • Single use: It cannot be split across multiple transactions or used for other purchases.
