The Move Your Salary Campaign (“the Campaign”) is run by Mukuru Financial Services (Pty) Ltd (Company Registration number 2008/025860/07 and FSP license number 45517) (“Mukuru”) from 16 September 2026 to 07 December 2026 (“the Campaign Period”), subject to these specific terms and conditions and the general terms and conditions for Competitions and Offers which can be found at www.mukuru.com (“the Campaign Ts & Cs”).
The Campaign is open only to Mukuru Customers who reside in the Republic of South Africa (“RSA”); no outbound territories are targeted or excluded.
By participating in the Campaign, you confirm that you have read and agree to be legally bound by the Campaign Ts & Cs.
If you have any questions about the Campaign Ts & Cs or the Campaign itself, please contact us at [email protected] (weekdays during office hours 08h00 – 17h00).
Qualifying criteria
To qualify to participate in the Campaign (“Participant”), you must:
be 18 years or older; and
be an existing or newly registered Mukuru customer with a Bank Zero Mukuru account and comply with the entry requirements under clauses 3 and 4;
Persons who fulfil the requirements of clause 2.1 will be referred to as “Participants” for the Campaign.
How to earn entries (the Main Campaign)
Participants earn entries into the weekly random prize draw based on the value of Electronic Funds Transfers (“EFTs”) received into their Bank Zero Mukuru account during the Campaign Period, calculated as follows:
Migration bonus: Participants who have migrated, or who migrate during the Campaign Period, their EFT/salary details from an Access Bank account to their Bank Zero Mukuru account will receive 30 entries (once-off, per Participant).
Standard entries: every R500 received via EFT into a Participant’s Bank Zero Mukuru account counts as 1 entry, capped at a maximum of 40 entries per 4 calendar weeks per Participant.
Entries accumulate on a rolling basis from week to week and are not lost if unused in a particular week.
A Participant’s entry count is reset to zero immediately after that Participant is selected as a winner in any draw.
Card Multiplier Campaign
In addition to the Main Campaign, winners may qualify for an enhanced, card-linked prize amount under this Card Multiplier Campaign.
To qualify for any card-enhanced prize, a winner’s Mukuru Card must be in an active state (card that has been funded once and is not in a blocked status) at 23:59 on the Sunday immediately preceding the applicable Monday draw (“the Card Cut-Off”).
Where a winner’s Mukuru Card is active by the Card Cut-Off, that winner will receive the double (“newly carded”) prize amount reflected in the Prize Schedule at clause 5.
Where a winner’s Mukuru Card has been issued but is not active, or is activated after the Card Cut-Off, that winner will receive the base prize amount only.
A winner may not obtain or activate a Mukuru Card after being selected as a winner to increase their prize. Mukuru reserves the right to pay the base prize amount only where it determines, in its sole discretion, that this clause has been circumvented.
The Prize Schedule
Subject to clauses 3 and 4 above, the following prizes are payable to winners drawn on each of the Monday draw dates below:
There are 12 Monday draws in total during the Campaign Period, with 5 unique winners drawn per draw (60 winners in total). All prize values are reflected in South African Rand (ZAR) and are inclusive of any applicable taxes.
The draw
Winners are selected by random draw on a weekly basis, every Monday, from all qualifying entries accumulated by Participants across the RSA. All Participants nationally are entered into a single draw pool for each weekly draw.
Notification of winners
Mukuru will contact the winners within 2 (two) days of the applicable Monday draw.
Mukuru will request the winner’s consent to be announced on social media; participation in any such announcement is voluntary.
If a winner cannot be reached after 3 (three) attempts over a 48 (forty-eight) hour period, that winner will forfeit the prize, and Mukuru will proceed to contact the next eligible winner in accordance with these Campaign Ts & Cs.
Delivery of prizes
Prizes are paid by way of EFT directly into the winner’s Bank Zero Mukuru account.
Winners are not required to produce proof of entry, an ID, a passport, or any other documentation to receive their prize, and are not required to collect their prize at any branch or kiosk.
There is no cost to the winner associated with receiving the prize (for example, no travel or accommodation cost), and the prize funds do not expire; once paid into the winner’s Bank Zero Mukuru account, the funds may be used by the winner at any time.
Winner Story Bonus and Winner Pack
Participation in this clause 9 is entirely voluntary. Declining to participate does not affect a winner’s entitlement to their prize under clauses 4 to 5 above.
Mukuru will invite each winner to share their winner story: for example, a selfie wearing a Mukuru T-shirt, or a photo with a Mukuru representative, for the chance to receive an additional R500 Winner Story Bonus.
The R500 Winner Story Bonus is paid into the winner’s Bank Zero Mukuru account for any one of the following: a selfie wearing the Mukuru T-shirt, a photo with a Mukuru representative, a written testimonial, or a video testimonial.
Mukuru will offer each winner the option to have the Winner Story Bonus added to their winnings on the Monday it is claimed, by sending their selfie/video to [email protected] or our secure WhatsApp digital line. The selfie or video will be posted on all Mukuru SA social media platforms and will not be stored internally beyond that.
Exclusions
Employees and agents of Mukuru are not eligible to participate in or win any prize under the Campaign.
A Participant may win more than once during the Campaign Period; however, a Participant’s entry count is reset to zero after each win, as set out in clause 3.3.
Only Participants whose Mukuru Card is active as at the applicable Card Cut-Off (clause 4.2) are eligible for the card-enhanced (doubled, or in the case of the Grand Finale draw, tripled) prize amount. All other winners receive the base prize only.
General
Participants must be 18 years or older.
If for any reason the Campaign cannot run as planned because of any technical failure, unauthorised intervention, computer virus, mobile network failure, tampering, fraud, or any other cause beyond Mukuru’s control which corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of the Campaign, Mukuru reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend the Campaign and/or to disqualify any individual who (whether directly or indirectly) causes or has caused the problem.
Mukuru may vary the terms of, or cancel, the Campaign at any time, without any liability to any person involved directly or indirectly in the Campaign.
Mukuru may, at its sole discretion, adjust the prize amounts, entry mechanics, draw dates, or number of winners reflected in these Campaign Ts & Cs from time to time.
Mukuru cannot be held liable for any loss, expense, or damage suffered by any person participating in the Campaign.
A failure by Mukuru to enforce any one of these terms and conditions in any instance(s) will not give rise to any claim or right of action by any Participant. If Mukuru does not enforce a provision, this does not mean that Mukuru has given up or lost any rights.
Mukuru will not assume any liability to any Participant in connection with or arising out of the Campaign, however caused, including for any costs, expenses, forfeited prizes, damages, and other liabilities.
These Campaign Ts & Cs are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
