The Discount Offer on International Money Transfer Fees using a Mukuru Card (“the Offer”) is being run by Mukuru Financial Services (Pty) Ltd (Company Registration number 2008/025860/07 and FSP license number 45517) (“Mukuru”) from 14 July 2025 – such time that Mukuru decides to terminate the Offer at its sole discretion (“the Offer Period”) subject to these specific terms and conditions and the general terms and conditions for Competitions and Offers which can be found at www.mukuru.com (“Offer Ts & Cs”).
By participating in the Offer, you confirm that you have read and agree to be legally bound by the Offer Ts & Cs.

Qualifying Criteria:
To qualify for the Offer, you must:
be a registered South African Mukuru card customer (includes both new and existing card customers);
fall within the following categories of Mukuru card customers:
Category 1 – Customers who use their Mukuru Card to send a remittance to all South African outbound countries, excluding those countries listed under other Categories with different discount allocations; or
Category 2 – Customers who use their Mukuru Card to send a remittance to a Mukuru Wallet in the following countries, excluding those countries listed under other Categories with different discount allocations: – From South Africa to Zimbabwe; – From South Africa to Malawi; or – From South Africa to Zambia.
Persons who fulfil the requirements of clause 2.1 above will be referred to as “Qualifying Participants” for the Offer.
The Discount
All Qualifying Participants will each receive the respective discount below on their transfer fees, calculated as follows:
Category 1 – Customers who use their Mukuru card to send a remittance to all SA outbound corridors, excluding those countries listed under other Categories with different discount allocations, will receive a 10% discount on the transfer fees of each transaction.
Category 2 – Customers who use their Mukuru Card to send a remittance to a Mukuru Wallet in the countries listed under clause 2.1.2.2 will receive a 20% discount on the transfer fees of each transaction;
Discounts won’t run concurrently with any other discounts received for remittances to specific South African outbound countries as listed under other categories
Discounts will automatically be applied once a customer pays for their transaction.
Exceptions
Customers who send money in cash do not qualify for any discounts.
General
Qualifying Participants must be 18 years or older.
If for any reason, the Offer cannot run as planned because of any technical failures, unauthorised intervention, computer virus, mobile network failure, stock unavailability, tampering, fraud or any other causes beyond our control which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Offer, we reserve the right to cancel, terminate, modify, suspend or cancel the Offer and/or to disqualify any individual who (whether directly or indirectly) causes (or has caused) the problem.
Mukuru may vary the terms of or cancel the Offer at any time. Mukuru may vary or cancel the Offer at any time without any liability to any person involved directly or indirectly in the Offer.
Mukuru may, at its sole discretion, adjust the discount percentages reflected in clause 3 from time to time. This includes reducing and/or increasing discount percentages.
Mukuru cannot be held liable for any loss, expense or damage to any person participating in the Offer.
A failure by Mukuru to enforce any one of the terms and conditions in any instance(s) will not give rise to any claim or right of action by any Qualifying Participant. If Mukuru does not enforce a provision, this will not mean that Mukuru has given up on or lost any rights.
Mukuru will not assume any liability to any participant, or Qualifying Participant, in connection with or arising out of the Offer, however it is caused, including for any costs, expenses, forfeited rewards, damages, and other liabilities
These Offer Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the country in which the remittance was sent.
