Terms & Conditions for Mukuru’s 4 Nations Competition

  1. Introduction
    1. The Mukuru 4 Nations Competition (“the Competition”) is being run by Mukuru Africa (Pty) Ltd (Company Registration number 2013/003424/07) (“Mukuru) during the period stipulated in Clause 2.1.4. (“the Competition Period”) subject to these specific terms and conditions and the general terms and conditions for competitions and Competitions which can be found at www.mukuru.com (“Competition Ts & Cs”). 
    2. By participating in the Competition, you confirm that you have read and agree to be legally bound by the Competition Ts & Cs.

  2. Competition Entry Requirements
    1. To qualify to participate in the Competition, you must:
      1. be residing/working in South Africa (as defined by Mukuru);
      2. comment your predicted winner out of the 4 Nations final game on the specified Mukuru South Africa Facebook page posts and Tag a Friend or Friends who love football to join the fun (all predictions will close before the kick-off of the final game);
      3. Share the Mukuru South Africa Facebook page post and use the hashtag: #Mukuru4Nations
      4. The Competition will run as follows:
        1. Start date for Competition: 30 March 2026, alternatively, when the Facebook post is made;
        2. Closing Date for Competition: 18:00 SA Time on 31 March 2026;
        3. All predictions should be made before the kick-off time of the final game.
      5. The final game will consist of the following teams: Zambia vs. Zimbabwe.
      6. The prediction should include the name of the team to win the final and the final score.
      7. You must comply with these terms and conditions.
    2. Persons who fulfil the requirements of clause 2.1 above will be referred to as “Qualifying Participants” for the purposes of the Competition.
    3. Mukuru processes your personal information when you use the Mukuru Service. Protecting your personal information is important to Mukuru and processing is done according to our Privacy Notice. When we run competitions and you qualify for a Prize, Mukuru will need to process your personal information for additional purposes.  For example, your personal information may be used to validate your entry, make the reward available to you if you are a winner and potentially share your personal information with 3rd parties (including 3rd parties in other countries) who have a need to know.  We will ensure those 3rd parties have adequate data protection safeguards in place. Mukuru also announces the winners on social media.   If the Competition includes Mukuru wanting to post photos of you as a winner on social media, you will be asked if you agree thereto.
    4. By entering, you give Mukuru your express marketing consent to post your name publicly across all Mukuru social media platforms where the Competition is running.
  3. The Prize and announcement of winners
    1. All Qualifying Participants of a particular Mukuru Facebook post who correctly predicted the Final winner will be put into a random draw and stand a chance to win the following prize:
      1. R100.00 (one hundred Rand) airtime (“Prize”).
    2. A maximum of 10 (ten) winners will be selected over the final game predictions.
    3. Winners will be announced on the Mukuru South Africa Facebook page on the following date:
      1. 2 April 2026. 
    4. Winners will be required to inbox the Mukuru South Africa Facebook page with their full name, phone number, and physical address. Should there be no response from the Mukuru South Africa Facebook page within 72 hours, you are required to send a screenshot, with your successful prediction and Facebook message with your details, to [email protected]
    5. Winners will have 7 (seven) days from the date of the winner announcement via the Mukuru South Africa Facebook page to provide their details via a direct message on the Facebook page. If they fail to do so, they will forfeit their Prize.
    6. Winners will receive the Prize directly loaded to their mobile phone number within 7 (seven) working days of Mukuru acknowledging the winner providing their details. 
  4. General 
    1. Mukuru employees and agents will not be allowed to enter the Competition. 
    2. Qualifying Participants must be 18 years or older.
    3. Qualifying Participants cannot win more than once, and Prizes cannot be exchanged for cash or any other currency.
    4. If for any reason, the Competition cannot run as planned because of any technical failures, unauthorised intervention, computer virus, mobile network failure, stock unavailability, tampering, fraud or any other causes beyond our control which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Competition, we reserve the right to cancel, terminate, modify, suspend or cancel the Competition and/or to disqualify any individual who (whether directly or indirectly) causes (or has caused) the problem. 
    5. Mukuru may vary the terms of or cancel the Competition at any time. Mukuru may vary or cancel the Competition at any time without any liability to any person involved directly or indirectly in the Competition. 
    6. Mukuru cannot be held liable for any loss, expense, or damage to any person participating in the Competition.
    7. A failure by Mukuru to enforce any one of the terms and conditions in any instance(s) will not give rise to any claim or right of action by any Qualifying Participant. If Mukuru does not enforce a provision, this will not mean that Mukuru has given up on or lost any rights.
    8. Mukuru will not assume any liability to any participant, or Qualifying Participant in connection with or arising out of the Competition however it is caused, including for any costs, expenses, forfeited rewards, damages and other liabilities 
    9. These Competition Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of South Africa.
