Terms & Conditions for Mukuru’s R500 EFT Bank Zero Mukuru Account Incentive Campaign

  1. Introduction
    1. The Mukuru’s R500 EFT Bank Zero Mukuru Account Incentive Campaign (“the Campaign”) is being run by Mukuru Africa (Pty) Ltd with registration number 2013/003424/07 (“Mukuru”) from 3 August 2026 – 28 August 2026 (“the Campaign Period”) subject to these specific terms and conditions and the general terms and conditions for Campaigns which can be found at www.mukuru.com (“Campaign T’s & C’s”).
    2. By participating in the Campaign, you confirm that you have read and agree to be bound by the Campaign T’s & C’s.

  2. Campaign Entry Requirements:
    1. In order to enter the Campaign, you must:
      1. be a registered Mukuru Customer (as defined by Mukuru) in South Africa;
      2. during the Campaign Period, receive your first electronic fund transfer (“EFT”) deposit into your Bank Zero Mukuru account as a single EFT transaction at the value of R500.00 (five hundred Rand) or more (“Qualifying Transaction”); and
      3. comply with these terms and conditions.
    2. Multiple Qualifying Transactions in Clause 2.1.2 do not create multiple entries. Reversed, cancelled or refunded transfers are not eligible.
    3. Persons who fulfill the requirements of clause 2.1 above will be referred to as “Qualifying Entrants” for the purposes of the Campaign.
  3. The Prize
    1. There will be one (1) random draw at the end of each week of the Campaign Period to select ten (10) winners per week and forty (40) winners in total over the Campaign Period. Each winner will each receive R500.00 (five hundred Rand) (“Prize”).
    2. The Prize applies only to the first Qualifying Transaction per Qualifying Entrant during the Campaign Period.
    3. Prizes are awarded subject to compliance with Section 2. No partial reward benefits will be awarded.
  4. Announcement of winners
    1. The random draws at the end of each week of the Campaign Period will take place on or about the following dates:
      1. 10th August 2026 to select ten (10) winners;
      2. 17th August 2026 to select ten (10) winners;
      3. 24th August 2026 to select ten (10) winners; and
      4. 31st August 2026 to select ten (10) winners.
    2. The Prize will automatically be sent to your Bank Zero Mukuru account by Mukuru within (7) days after the winner announcement and verification. Winners will be contacted directly via their registered cell phone number and asked to verify their Bank Zero Mukuru account. Proof of entry and identification may be required. Winners must present acceptable identification (e.g., National ID/Passport/Driver’s Licence) and any information reasonably required to facilitate the Prize receipt.
    3. If Mukuru fails to obtain a positive response within 72 hours of contacting a winner after three (3) attempted calls over 72 hours, the Prize will be forfeited, and the next winner will be contacted.
    4. Winners will be announced on Mukuru’s social media platforms and in-branch communications at relevant Mukuru points in South Africa. Mukuru will publish the winner’s names for promotional purposes.
  5. General
    1. Mukuru employees, agents and their immediate family members will not be allowed to enter the Campaign.
    2. Qualifying Entrants must be 18 years or older.
    3. If for any reason, the Campaign cannot run as planned because of any technical failures, unauthorised intervention, computer virus, mobile network failure, tampering, fraud or any other causes beyond our control which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Campaign, we reserve the right to cancel, terminate, modify, suspend or cancel the Campaign and/or to disqualify any individual who (whether directly or indirectly) causes (or has caused) the problem.
    4. Mukuru may vary the terms of or cancel the Campaign at any time. Mukuru may vary or cancel the Campaign at any time without any liability to any person involved directly or indirectly in the Campaign.
    5. Mukuru cannot be held liable for any loss, expense, or damage to any person participating in the Campaign.
    6. A failure by Mukuru to enforce any one of the terms and conditions in any instance(s) will not give rise to any claim or right of action by any Qualifying Entrant. If Mukuru does not enforce a provision, this will not mean that Mukuru has given up on or lost any rights.
    7. Mukuru will not assume any liability to any participant, or Qualifying Entrant in connection with or arising out of the Campaign however it is caused, including for any costs, expenses, forfeited rewards, damages and other liabilities
    8. These Campaign Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of South Africa.
